“O really enjoy all my interactions at Occidental Art Center. The Tuesday morning Life Drawing class is great! The teacher and all the students are supportive and encouraging .I so love the people and process involved in entering their juried shows. All you do is get an appointment on line and take your painting into the gallery at that time. It is quite an enjoyable experience. Finally, I want to say how pleasant people at the center are. Everyone just enjoys making and sharing art!”

“Charming little gallery with a charming owner. And I am writing without having entered the store. Nothing is more fun than finding art while looking through a half opened dutch door. Finding this gem made my great weekend even better. And I left with a reminder that should last a lifetime. Merci beaucoup, Laurence”

“My family of 5 took a three hours class in July of 2023. It was awesome. First the studio is so well organized and well equipped. Michael started by giving a short explanation, and we started working with glass in no time. We are very pleased with the mushrooms and stirring sticks that we created. It was engaging and creative. Michael is a great teacher!”

“We happened to park in front of this co-op on our stop to explore bodega and I must say I do regret not buying more things. I got this great magnet but I really wanted the slippers. They looked so warm. This Artisans’ Co-op is really worth stopping at. It was definitely one of my favorite stops.”

“HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Our son is an amateur photographer who hopes to turn professional. Christian did an amazing job of guiding him the process of his first professional framing experience. Not only did Christian really listen to and respect our son's vision, but was able to introduce him to options that he might not have considered while elegantly bridging our son's ideas with the aesthetics of our home where these pieces will be hung. Throughout the process, Christian did an amazing job of educating our son every step of the process from the selection of the frames to the selection of the mat colors & textures and the types of glass he might consider. We cannot wait to see the finished pieces and are excited to hang them in pride of place in our home. We've already initiated another large framing project with Christian.”

“Good multi-use performance space. All sight lines are good, the area is high and open, but smaller - seats approx 100 max. Acoustics (natural and amplified) were distortion and echo free. Staff is helpful, professional, and friendly.”

“This was a great free little gallery and the owners were so welcoming and laid back. It was a great way to get out of the rain and see some beautiful pieces. We didn't buy anything here but we felt welcome nonetheless. I recommend this place to art lovers. They have many different mediums as well. My favorites were the stones carved and made into various household objects.”

“This small shop has some beautiful jewelry. I bought 2 rings there. I have never seen a orange garnet. It is my birth stone and I love the unusual color. The shop has many unusually gorgeous pieces. The prices are reasonable.”

“This is THE place to go to see early California paintings. They have a wonderful selection and just walking through the gallery brings you back in time. The owner, Nancy Ferreira, is considered one of the leading experts in early California art and is fun talk to about the history of these historic artists. The gallery is located in the town of Duncans Mills, which is a nice place to stop on its own.”

“They have some amazing artist in this latest show. Of course I'm a little biased because I entered my work and got best of show. It's a small gallery but there is a lot there. It sits on the main street in the little town of Graton.”

“A terrific diversion and place to shop for that St. Generic's Day gift before the seasonal crush. This cooperative of about eleven local artists is airy, well lit and a happy place in which to enjoy a variety of expression by extremely talented people who are, for the most part, members of the Newly Emerging Lower River Left Bank Art Community. Paintings, sculptures, photos, things to hang on your body and much of it has been inspired by the spectacular natural beauty of the turf where these artists live. The first Friday of every month Guerneville's gallery people open their doors, lay out a few munchies, a cup of something red and shmooze with visitors, townies and members of this intertwining network of people who share goals, points of view and the latest dirt on a couple of their mutual acquaintances. Well-behaved pooches are welcome and you might come upon a few surprises.I love this place and the people who brighten it and make visiting it a special experience.”
