Do not go to this UPS Store in Oakley for notary needs. I was denied notarization because my drivers’ license had expired. I had other forms of ID, birth certificate, etc. The Notary at this location said these were not acceptable. I stated that it was my understanding that if the photo ID was less than five (5) years expired it was still acceptable. She stated categorically that that was not the case. I chose to believe her thinking perhaps the law had changed.
I went home, researched another way, and found, without an acceptable photo ID, if you bring in two credible witnesses who have valid photo ID and will vouch for you, notarization can take place. I called and spoke to the same notary who had denied me. She was polite but stated couldn’t notarize regardless of the witnesses because of my expired ID.
I called another location, told them about the expired ID and asked them about the two witnesses aspect I’d researched. They said YES, they absolutely could do the notarization with witnesses. I bothered a friend to stand as my second witness, along with my spouse.
The three of us met at this second location. Turned out I was correct about the five-year expiration aspect after all and the witnesses were not necessary, but would have been acceptable. The notary at this second location advised me to post this negative review about the first notary as it was obvious “she didn’t know how to do her job or else just did not want to do her job.”
The first notary was legally incorrect on two fairly major aspects for performing notarizations. She abused three people’s ’ time through her ignorance. BTW - The form I needed notarized was a cremation authorization; my mother had passed away the day before.

I've been coming to this location for quit sometime. I will say alot has changed since the manager dede left. She was always on her job. Always there ready to help . A very pleasant person who always had a warm smile on her face. Now that she gone the store feels empty as though employees dont like there job or dont like to help customers. There's alot of huffing, puffing and eye rolling when lines are long as though no one likes there job there. I come here for amazon returns and notary, sometimes its an issue or nothing is available which is a total bummer. This store needs more employees who like to work and are more welcoming and friendly.

I have to review this particular UPS store. I’ve been to a few and typically have always had great experiences, and if not great, nothing too bad. But this store is for real, a 1 of a kind gem! Start off with location: great location in the middle of everything you could need, bank, grocery store, dollar store, tons of fast food, Starbucks,
Donuts, etc. You’ll never run out of parking. Now for the store, it’s always so fresh & spotless clean. Fans are always going blowing air. Plug’ins are always in making it smell so good. It’s a great size with literally everything you need from pick-up boxes, drop off location for UPS as well as USPS (postal). Printing needs, packaging needs, literally everything you can think of. Multiple printers and a great selection of packing needs! Now the even better part, the staff! The staff here takes this place to another level. All of them are knowledgeable and super friendly. Talk about customer service, they could film a “How to Movie” here! All of them are great in their own way, always willing to help out and do whatever the customer needs to make their day! One employee I have to single out is Ben! If you’ve been to this store and if Ben has helped you before, you don’t need to go on because you know just how phenomenal this person is! After 1 trip to this place and 1 encounter with Ben and I feel like I know so much more. Ben sells that place and makes you want to go back. The most knowledgeable person of what UPS offers and how their services can help you. Absolutely incredible for someone that works for a UPS affiliate and not directly for UPS! This is the person you want to get if you have any questions on what’s best for you and how to do it! Thank you Ben and everyone else for your hard work, dedication and commitment to helping others and your amazing customer service & reliability!

I had a wonderful experience at this location. The notary was thorough, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the entire process. She took her time to ensure that everything was signed accurately and correctly, and I truly appreciated her attention to detail. It made all the difference after a less-than-ideal experience elsewhere. Thank you for the excellent service, I highly recommend this location for notary needs.

Consistently the worst ups store. ALWAYS a long line and never enough employees. Plus, other employees chatting with coworkers even though a long line. I dread coming here

Staff in this branch are very accommodating and courteous. I always have a good experience whenever I come here even when I'm just calling.
I called their number yesterday and my call was answered immediately. I asked if they do Live Scan and the staff who answered knew how to respond - she added that they do Live Scans until 5pm only. So we went in today at around 4pm and everything was done in around 15 mins. Staff knew how to do their job well, patiently explaining everything that's needed and how it was done.
Among all the UPS stores I went to, this is the branch where excellent service is seen and felt. Hope they continue to be that way and that most people would experience this kind of service as I always do.

Awful, rude service. I needed to ship a few items for business and was met with ridiculous questions about the packing without any explanation. I left and I’ll go to FedEx instead. BTW
Not my only poor interaction at this location.
You should train your high school dream team to provide a better experience for your customers. Not be surly and rude.
In the future drop off your returns to Amazon and go elsewhere if you expect to conduct business.

UPS is the worst post service ever. They bring package when you are not home and after a big deal to get the package. At the second attempt I could get address where they keep package and at the third time could finally receive it. Huge waist of my time. In customer service answers only robot.
