Lucky is a local grocery store that offers a good selection of products, including a well-stocked gluten-free section and a better produce section than some competitors. The store is generally clean and well-maintained, especially in the mornings, and the employees are usually helpful, though they can be a bit slower during busy afternoon hours. However, some customers have had mixed experiences with the store. One customer ordered custom cupcakes and a two-tier cake for their daughter's birthday, but was disappointed when the colors did not match what was discussed with the staff. The staff was not very accommodating in resolving the issue. Another customer is frustrated with Lucky's data collection practices, preferring the more straightforward approach of a competitor like Winco. On the positive side, a reviewer notes that Lucky is the nicest store in the area, with well-stocked departments, especially during the holiday season. The store's convenient location next to a highly-rated jiu-jitsu studio is also appreciated by some customers. Overall, Lucky seems to provide a generally good shopping experience, though there is room for improvement in customer service and transparency.
Good gluten free section and has a better produce section than Raleys which never used to be the case. I also give it 5 stars because of how closely it is located to Growth Mindset Collective, which has the best Jiu jitsu instructor in the east bay.

I haven't been there in a few years. I lived across the street for years before 2011. Things have changed; locked up the hard liquor, you get $10s back for change in self checkout, and there aren't any bags when you check yourself out. There are a few new refrigerators, and they expanded the bakery.
