Like many branches, the staff at the local level are very helpful. But as soon as they are required to get approval from remote managers, the policies are awful. So restrictive about what customers can do. When I was helping my declining mother by means of joint account, it became impossible. Had to switch to a credit union.

No service. One teller working, two workers talking. Was greeted which is nice. But I can't spend 20 minutes on a 2 minute transaction.

Customer service is lackluster. The culture is to pass the buck and tell you to come back later when so and so is here. ATMs are not well maintained and often out of service.

Customer service is at a 0 at this location. You'll be interrupted mid way as you're speaking as if you aren't the client. Half way through as my partner is expressing his concern, the agent cuts him off mid sentence to ask if he's "okay"? Completely baffled. What in your grown adult mind gets you to think that's appropriate behavior to interact with a customer at one of your branches. 0 stars if i could, especially towards the lady who "assisted" us on 10/27.

I went to this location this afternoon and I brought $200 in $20 bills to exchanges to $5 bills., the teller was very helpful and nice but when she gave me back my $200 in $5bills, she just gave me the money with the rubber band …. So she did not count it in from of me and I asked her if is that it , and she yes and she said if i want to I can count it .. I should had counted but i did not cuz I did trust her. So when I when to my place I counted it and it was missing $5 dollars out of my $200. I have learned my lesson and next time I will count my money before to leave the bank. My only feedback is to make sure tellers at this location should be more careful and count the money in from their customers.

An excellent bank, we were served by a pleasant woman who clearly explained what and how. I recommend!

The security guard from grada security company older lady black. She insults customers and make fun of them. Would not visit this branch if my life was on the line!

I don't want to pile on other reviews but the teller manager I met seemed unhappy with her job and was unhelpful and factually incorrect about her bank's services. A banker at the Piedmont Ave branch was, however, very helpful and solved my problem. I got a Wells credit card without having any other accounts there. When I tried to set up online access/bill pay for the credit card I got an error. Customer service on the phone said I'd have to visit a branch to have my identity verified. When I arrived at the branch I waited in line about 5 minutes. For most of that time there was one banker loudly chatting with another banker and two tellers without any customers. No one acknowledged me during that time. When I described my situation the teller manager told me that I'd have to make an appointment to come back the next day. I pointed out that one banker was free. She said that the banker had an appointment in 20 minutes and the process could take that long. She then told me that my problem was that Wells Fargo doesn't allow you to have online access to a credit card unless you have a checking account!! I now have that online access without a checking account. So I don't know if she was trying to force me to open a checking account (didn't Wells Fargo get into trouble for this a few years ago?) or if she's just uninformed. I said it wasn't worth going through a hassle and that I'd just cancel this new card and get another. She said that was up to me. I gave it one last chance at the Piedmont branch and a banker there was very polite, super helpful, and had me on my way in about 5 minutes.

This review is for the security on duty (Feb. 10, 2022 at 1:00pm). That person needs to know how to be polite with WF clients. He/she told me to “Go outside” a few times and came into my face. I saw there was 3 people in-line for teller. My point is there is a way how to say to people to if you want them to go outside because we understand the only amount of people can be indoors and such and not to be RUDE!And so I left and decided not to wait.I came back, got in-line etc., and after my transaction with the teller. I was told to go to the side or back door to exit, while he/she lets the other people in and out to the main door. So, I sense a little of discrimination there. Very unruly and unfair treatment of your clients.

The security guard was polite and the teller Meliza was very sweet. Also, there are signs posted about the coin shortage but I was able to get quarters at the branch today (no limit) just FYI for those folks who gotta do laundry.

Girl let me tell you something. I work in customer service so I understand the gravity of a negative Yelp review. Spare yourself a trip and do not come here. The woman who wears blue glasses with the "blonde hair" and dark greasy roots needs therapy or something because how ? Are you going to work in customer service and have the audacity to carry the amounts of attitude that she does? Make it make sense. I get it you're in your 40s and you work a job that doesn't pay well - in the Bay Area to say the least. I would be miserable too. If you don't like working face to face with people you should probably find a new job because you aren't doing it well. I've never left a Yelp review let alone a negative one but I truly believe she deserves it. It's the holidays and you're out here acting like the grinch. Please do better , my interaction with you made me want to kill myself.
