The phone number here (510-251-3113) is the same number listed on Google and elsewhere for this West Grand post office. NO ONE ANSWERS THIS NUMBER -- ever. I've called between 11am and 5pm M-F and let it ring. And ring. I've left it ring for at least an hour at times. It's been ringing now for 45 minutes. Like others here, I've not received my mail. I know that because I receive USPS email notifications each day with images of the mail I should be getting. I know I should have received critical year-end tax-related documents, along with a check that was being returned last week. It never arrived. Our mail carrier (who we like) only dropped off mail 3 times last week. I'm not sure where to go from here, but it's clear this service is completely dysfunctional.

This is the place you go to get your mail if you live on an "orphan" mail route that doesn't have a local post office (maybe about one in five mail routes in Oakland?). The place is horribly understaffed, and many of the mail routes don't have an assigned carrier, so they're tacked on to another carrier's routing. We routinely get our mail between 7 and 8 PM - if we get it. It's a symptom of a highly disfunctional mail system for at least some parts of Oakland. They NEVER answer their phone (perhaps needless to say). Disgraceful!!!

We are lucky if the mail is delivered every 10 days, mail from informed delivery seems to just vanish. Whoever is the manager at West Grand Annex should be fired, incompetent, lazy workers. So disgusted, after writing complaints to US postal service, the guy in charge of Oakland and zero response. Crazy, disorganized system.

We hadn't gotten mail delivery the past three day, so I hoped to pick up our mail here. (This post office handles delivery for parts of Oakland that don't have a local post office - maybe one mail route out of five?) They're only open from 11 Am to 5 PM, and there's usually a pile-up of people for the first hour. Only one clerk there, so there's often a long wait, and they almost never answer their phone.It appears USPS in Oakland is hopelessly understaffed. A lot of mail routes don't have a regular mail carrier, so the route gets tacked onto another carrier's route. Then you don't get your mail until very late - like 8:30 PM, or you don't get it at all and it just gets put back in line for delivery the next day!One person waiting for mail hadn't gotten delivery since Thanksgiving - and it's now almost New Years!The problems with station just reflect the disgraceful state of the Postal Service in Oakland.

This is the post office that handles the mail coming to my house. I've had various issues with deliveries over the years. From not getting mail for a couple of weeks after the carrier lied and said my box was full, to them folding/crumpling letters into my box. Recently they lied and said they delivered a package (padded envelope). I did not receive the package on that day, nor did I receive any letters that were in my informed delivery. The mail and package were not stolen as the mail from the previous day was still in the box. This was the day before Easter so I would not be surprised if they just skipped delivery or were backed up which is honestly understandable, but I wish they would have just delayed it vs lying and saying they delivered it. It's so frustrating because they scanned the package as delivered which is making it very hard to file a claim. To my knowledge you cannot change your home post office but I would keep my eye on mail if you're expecting something of value/importance.

I live on 22nd. They have front and backloading zones - and almost daily they block people in in the morning. I have been late numerous times for work because they block my car in, and then there’s no one around for me to talk to to move the trucks! Mind you - in the photo below, the truck parked behind my car was actually in someone’s driveway. I know that there isn’t much parking for them but I don’t understand why they can’t just block themselves in instead!

Came during business hours no one was there doors were locked you could get past the front door but not into the service area or the information desk even after ring the bell
