I just moved to the area and have been praying for God to guide me to a new spiritual home this is the first church I visited and it was just so amazing the atmosphere, the praise, the people, the word! You can feel the spirit! God is doing amazing things in this place and through these people! I’ve never felt so at home and so welcomed!

As a military family, we move to a new part of the country every few years. When we arrived in the East Bay Area, we were invited here by someone in our neighborhood. It’s been an absolute joy from the first service we attended! You’ll see welcoming faces and real hearts on a journey for learning about/ more of Jesus. It’s incredible to get to call Storyline our church home. The church is perfect for you if you are looking for a cozy vibe even in the city. Yes, there is a parking lot right across the street and someone to guide you across the crosswalk, too! We’re so thankful for Storyline and the crew that we’ve found close friends in being a part of and won’t forget the family we have here.

I'm from out of town and was longing for community and fellowship since moving to California. The leadership and members at Storyline welcomed and embraced me the first day I walked in the doors, and this church has quickly become my home away from home. Storyline is a place for everyone, and whether you've been a Christian your entire life or have never stepped foot inside a church, I'm confident you will feel at home here too!

EVERYONE was warm and inviting. However for me the message was a bit confusing. It was extremely practical but just was hard to follow kinda all over the place.

attended here, an hour away from my then home, while I was in this weird period between churches / moving across the country. everyone was super welcoming, including Pastors Akeem and Jamie. really enjoyed the environment and decor, as well as the preaching and worship. if i lived in town, would definitely make that my church home. even if i'd still lived an hour away i'd definitely stop in every now and again. would recommend.

Although were sheltering in place, Storyline has been having online sermon sessions every Sunday with worship, prayer, the whole experience. Even though I’ve been home, I’ve still had the same the community and the support as before. I didn’t grow up in Church so in the past when I tried to attend churches, I’ve found it difficult to keep up with the messages. However, Storyline welcomes everyone of all backgrounds and it is a place where you can belong before you believe!

I happened to stumble upon this church and wonderful group of people through an old friend I didn’t know was in the Bay Area and who was helping plant Storyline. I visited during one of their start up parties and immediately jumped in to help!! I’ve never found such an authentic, friendly and understanding group of people! I’m by myself in the Bay Area for school and had been feeling so alone and yearning for a church and the fellowship that comes with it so I was super eager to join the Dream team and now I feel like I have my own little family in the Bay Area ❤️. I 100% recommend trying out Storyline!! Just go to one of their community events, online or in person when that resumes, and see if they’re the people for you! I swear you won’t regret it! These people and this church accept anyone and everyone, regardless of your past and beliefs. You truly feel at home here.

This church is so welcoming and accepting. I love that they say you belong before you believe. Checking them out online is a great way to get the feel of this church. It is held in a movie theater which at first you think is a little weird but is also such a cool experience. Pastor Akeem and Jaime are young and vibrant and just want to share their story and their beliefs with the world and especially with Oakland.
