This hardware store saved me today! I was horseback riding in Anthony Chabot nearby, and lost the locking nut that holds the stirrup in place. Miraculously he had a replacement! Now the saddle is ready to go for tomorrow - and I bought a spare.

If you live in deep east Oakland this should be your first stop for all hardware needs. The space isn't huge but the guy has everything you can think of. Support a local business. Guy who runs it is really knowledgeable and helpful.

Rip off!!! He over charged me, used his wrong on-hand parts, was chronically late or didn't show up at all! My dad died and we needed minor repairs done to receive out-of-town relatives prior to his funeral. More than once I had to drive over to the store because he would not answer his phone to remind him of our appointments or try to get him to get the repair right. I had to rehire someone else to redo the plumbing that he left in ruin. I will never go into that frightening, cramped, dank place ever again no matter the cause.

Great place to find the odd bit of hardware or plumbing you might not find at the big franchise store. Family-owned and friendly service. And if they don't have it...the owner will be happy to order it asap. Highly recommended for the do-it-yourselfer and the professional contractor or handyman too!

Great neighborhood spot. The owner is knowledgeable and even though they may not have everything, like the big box stores, they are part of the community. I try to patronize mom and pop shops as often as I can

Don't believe sign outside. I arrived and found sign saying be back in 15 min and after waiting 30 outside decided to leave. Unsure when they are actually open
