Got a nice qipao for my Chinese tea ceremony. Sasha's house a wide variety of designs that fit within any budget (from $50 - more than $300). She kept me and my mother company throughout the whole thing and I never felt rushed to buy at all. Highly recommend

Great place to find a quipao! I came to find something not too expensive for my Chinese tea ceremony, since I'll be in it an hour max and I went over budget with my white bridal gown. I had been looking at Etsy and few other websites, and they'd either be outrageously expensive, or I was worried about fit (particularly when a lot were not refundable). I googled and found Sasha's house. The shopkeeper (who I assume is Sasha) was super sweet and patient. I tried on three different quipaos and was really indecisive. I am a size XS/0 and for her dresses, was a size small. They all fit good, with plenty of room to move. It was great to be able to try on a variety of them and move around and kneel, to get a feel of it. What's great is even though I'm insanely short, with heels, all these dresses would work. The prices for her quipaos range from $45 to $78 to $288--it all depends on the fabric and if it's got a lot of gold (vs "yellow) or if it's lined, etc. Prices are on the tags too, so you know she's not coming up with a random number based on clientele. I ended up choosing a beautiful dragon one, mid-range in price, that I don't need altered. My fiancé went with a blue suit jacket with gold dragons and gold cuff sleeves. We were hoping for black and gold, but she didn't carry it. We could've found one online, but the shopkeeper was so nice and spent so much time with us, we wanted to support her and purchase locally. We went with blue and it works with some of the blue on the dragons on my dress. Please patronize this place if you're looking for any Chinese outfits--whether simple or luxe, she really has such a great range. And much better prices than SF Chinatown where the $45 quipaos at Sasha's are $110+ there.

I came in the week of Lunar New Year in hopes of finding a traditional dress to wear and feel closer to my Chinese culture. I don't typically celebrate in its entirety, and I haven't owned a Qipao since I was a child, so I was pretty nervous. The owner was super sweet and asked me what style I liked, and showed me the options. She had a few on sale, but I chose a higher quality dress that fit me better than the others. I did not feel judged, and felt taken care of. Please support this family owned business for any traditional wear needs !

Quick Summary: Lots of selection, competitive pricing, great service from a very experienced and knowledgable owner. I came to Sasha's house with my mom looking for a qipao for my wedding. There's plenty of selection here in many different colors, fabrics, and for different occasions. You'll find a whole range of red qipao from the simpler bamboo/cherry blossom prints to the elaborate, wedding specific styles with lots of sequins and embroidery. Prices for the dresses I looked at in late 2023 range from ~$50-$250+. The owner was attentive and helped me throughout my visit, letting me choose dresses on my own time and before trying them on in the small dressing area which doubles as her storage corner. She's patient, honest in a helpful way, and can tell you about how the dress fits/should fit, in addition to alterations that might need to be done or can/cannot be done. While I was trying dresses, she was speaking to my mom about how and where she sources fabrics, where the dresses are sewn, and more about her business. It's clear she has decades of business, but she's not pushy or arrogant at all. After my visit, I visited 5+ other shops in SF Chinatown that carried qipao, but I found that Sasha's house has the broadest selection of styles, fabrics, and sizes with good workmanship. I came back a week later and purchased a beautiful, well-made qipao in a unique fabric I didn't find anywhere else that was designed for the next year, the year of the dragon. She advised me to come back 1.5-2 months before the wedding to get remeasured for alterations and she would help us find a seamstress. Overall, I had a great experience here and highly recommend this small business for all your qipao needs!

Very good selection of qipao. There were traditional qi pao, on the lower budget, and then higher end qipao for nicer occasions. They also had the traditional two piece wedding outfit. Many different colors. Modern designs. I tried on a halter qipao and I saw a few qipao with lace and fishtail design. I ended up purchasing a really nice bridal one priced at $300 which ended up being discounted. It was red lace with fish tail bottom. I tried on about 5 dresses. The owner was very patient. My mom then tried on about 5 dresses. Very fun occasion and I greatly enjoyed being in the store. We each bought a dresss. Happy to support a local business. I shopped online for qipao but honestly the pricing at Sasha's was comparable if not better. Very happy I got to try on the qipao in person because the fit is so important.

Come through to Sasha's for all your qipao needs. Either you need one, your mom needs one, your grandma needs one, or the men in your life needs one - Sasha's caters to all ages (even kids!). I've been passively looking for a qipao for my wedding and I'm one to shop online for convenience, but after trying a couple ones from online... let's just say there's a reason why Sasha's exist. The owner was friendly and extremely helpful. She gave helpful comments here and there and was pleasant to converse with the entire time. I really enjoyed my experience shopping here. The selection here was pretty amazing and the prices were reasonable compared to dealing with the hassle of ordering online, playing around with sizing, getting alterations, etc. There's parking on the street and a parking garage underneath where the shop is located (along with other shops in the plaza). I ended up finding a qipao for my wedding and my mom found one for herself + a jacket for Chinese new years so this shopping trip was a win.

The Aunty was very nice. She made me feel comfortable trying on different dresses and explained all the details of why one dress was pricier than the others. They have a lot of selections even though the place looks small. They also do alterations there as well, fast and cheaper. Cheongsam can range from $40-300. I bought my dress there, saved me a trip to SF which can be a pain. They do not do custom made Cheongsam or qipaos, you would need to go to SF for that.

Sasha the owner was so patience with us, My daughter must have tried 10+ cheongsams. Sasha removed over 5 dresses from the mannequins. She worked hard to make a sale!! I thought Sasha was going to give up but she kept pulling out more dresses for my daughter. It was a lot of fun. We didn't feel pressured to buy. After a few hours with Sasha, my daughter found the perfect cheongsam. Not too glittery and overpowering designs. Also her shop was located in a safe location. It is on top of Chinatown's underground parking lot. Park downstairs and take the elevator to the ground floor. After buying the dress, we went to Peony's for dim sum. Thank you, Sasha! We will be back when my daughter loses 10 pounds for her September wedding!! Lol she will need a tailor!! Save yourself a trip to SF and shop locally!

Super friendly and kind store owner! Very down to earth and understood that I only needed the qipao for a tea ceremony. So she gave me less expensive options that I could choose from.

I bought a kids outfit here. I didn't look at outfits for adults, so my opinion is very limited. I found a few nice outfits, thick for the winter weather, and that my kid liked which is very important. Some threads alone the zipper line were coming off. The staff told me that I could cut it off myself. This is the first time I bought from them and the price seemed reasonable. My kid chose her outfit and was very happy with it, and that's all it matters.

Really great place to buy Chinese traditional clothing. I bought a beautiful red qipao for my wedding reception. They also did alterations for it at the store, which only took a week. The owner was kind and helpful. Thanks so much!
