Terrible service and very lacking in amenities. Complained to the front desk and was told they don't do roomkeeping services. They told us to bring our old towels down to exchange for new ones and wouldn't bother bringing them up. Exterior seemed nice but rooms had a plethora of problems. The shower was shoddy and the room had missing + mismatching lights, dirty sheets, and a broken phone. We tried contacting the front desk about the phone and nothing was fixed. When we turned the faucet, the water coming out was yellow and disgusting and we needed to contact them to get a new room. Would not recommend staying here at all.

My mom was in town and this hotel is literally right up the street so it was an easy choice even tho it's not necessarily the nicest, certainly no holiday inn...but we figured she only needed the place to sleep and would otherwise not actually spending much time there...however I honestly would recommend literally ANY of the other "motels" down macarthur Blvd then this place for the sole purpose of the owners here are THE WORST! I was waiting in my mom's rental jeep in the parking lot when the owner comes out and just starts SCREAMING at me, saying I need to prove that I'm staying there etc...mind you, it was the middle of the day, like 3pm, the parking lot was empty and my mom had just checked in! She was just freshening up so I was waiting in the jeep (it wasn't running, windows were down and I was just literally chillin there on my phone) like what was the big deal?I knew right then, it was a red flag and we should have just went elsewhere...Over 3 days we were hassled not once, not twice, not three times, not FOUR times, BUT FIVE TIMES for various things that anywhere else it would have literally been absolutely nothing...Such as, apparently they don't do "late check-out"...ok fine....not a big deal..It was 11am sharp and the owner began POUNDING on the door...screaming! My mom was waiting for me to get there and was just making sure she had everything. I got there around 11:15am to the owner saying he's calling the cops (my mom is like in her 60's, non combative and very shy and quiet!!)So I come upstairs to try and help her with her suitcases and he blocks the doorway, and refuses to let me help her! Like he was just screaming at her to get out, I was trying to help her do that as fast as humanly possible but this guy just wants to make a complete scene?Avoid this place at all costs! I can't believe this place is even able to remain in business and doesn't have major lawsuits with the way the owner behaves.

At the rate paid for the room was awesome. A glass walk-in shower with sliding doors, and a body mirror in the bathroom was awesome. Clean wrapped 6 ounce gargling cups or beverage cups. The bathroom was clean with clean towels, hand towels, and face towels. The bedding was comfortable, I could not get up. The television worked and the sockets in the wall to recharge electric appliances. Most of all, I like the studying desk. For under a hundred dollars a night, I consider it fare market value....

Stayed here with my partner is October for a fun weekend getaway/music festival we had planned. Very friendly and helpful front desk attendant and also let us park our car for an extra few hours the next day we checked out. I would highly recommend this place for its convenience near downtown and the freeway! It had very close and nearby restaurants and downtown had even more. I will say if we ever need to stay in Oakland, I will definitely feel safe here!

Other than maybe 1 or two of the residents being chain smokers I say it’s not all that bad, generally provides a 1-3 beds with a TV, fridge and bathroom standard with housekeeping and laundry services and an optional kitchen in some apartments, don’t expect much on room though overall pretty decent 7/10 ?

Piedmont Place underwent a remodel and not only became a great looking yet affordable local motel but I'm guessing the staff underwent some customer service training. The result can't be beat. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped and the staff goes out of its way to make your stay exceptional. The Piedmont Place is also one of a few motels that allow check in after midnight. For those of us who work late, this is a great amenity. If you need a local night's lodging you can't beat the newly re-envisioned in Piedmont Place.

Place was really sketch and neighborhood was not good. I found 2 bedbugs crawling on our bed after we had checked in. Only giving them 2 stars because they gave me a refund without any issues when we told them about the situation and was rushing to get out of there. I urge you not to stay here unless you're really desperate. They were really nonchalant about the bedbugs which was disturbing.

5 stars for such courteous service. They let us check out late and even leave our car in their lot for a little bit after checkout so we could explore downtown. Visually it's a little rough around the edges but that sort of thing is far less important to us. Whoever was running the service desk this weekend, shout out to you.

This hotel is dirty, and the management will literally keep your $100 deposit for no reason and refuse to release it to you after your stay. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOURE FINE PAYING AN EXTRA $100 and having the heater in the room blow dirt into your eyes. I was up all night with allergies to the dust and dirt and then couldn’t even get a deposit back. Very, very rude management, other than the woman at the desk who was helpful.

The place looks nice from the outside & and has parking. The woman in the front office wasn't rude, but she also wasn't customer centric. When checking in i was asked if i had cash when i handed her my card, then when i didnt have enough she down graded the room instead of running my card. Luckily when i got in the room there was mystery stains all over the walls and bedding, so i got to imagine what they were from. If you find another place thats $10 more id probably go with that.

Was in town for high school reunion. Needed a place for the night. It surprise me room had iron, ironing board, gas stove, sink, full size fridge, microwave, table with 3 chairs, pots for cooking, flatware, big shower.no tub. Nice bed very clean and nice staff

I stayed here 11/16/19. The only reason we stayed here was because they told us they would allow us to leave our car while we go to the Raiders game (before taking off, they said we couldn't leave our car) and the Reviews weren't that bad. Pricing was ok, but there was roaches and under the beds was filthy, theres no microwave, and there was hair on my bed. So im not even sure if they washed the sheets. We went into our rooms at around 11 so even b if we wanted to try another hotel we wouldn't have be able to because of the timing.
