Piedmont Fabric is a surprising gem and a wonderful local fabric shop in Oakland. It offers a wonderful assortment of good quality fabrics, trims, buttons, and all things necessary for sewing and upholstery. This includes a better selection of items like cashmere twill, cotton jacquard, heavy linen, and Sevenberry fabrics. The staff is super helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and warm, providing lovely and wonderful service. The owner is clearly experienced and very accommodating. The new storefront is much better with more light. Although parking is street only, it is not too difficult. It is a small business with a friendly service where you will always find a gem.
Super helpful and honest, helped me find the material I needed, asked me what the material was for and sold me 1/3 of what I'd mistakenly estimated and was planning on purchasing. A+ integrity!

Piedmont Fabric is the best. Not huge, but beautifully curated. I always find what I need (and usually a lot more!). Lan is lovely, She has given me so much advice over the years! She is always so kind about answering questions and offering suggestions. I'd give her and her shop 10 stars if I could!
