I was so excited to have her teeth clean as before (6 months ago) with the same company! This was her second time with them and Everything was fine when I drop her off but when I picked her up she was stressed and the person who I assumed finished her cleaning told me that she was snapping at her and she was trying to bite her which didn't make sense because I was there the first 10 mins literally in the same room and she was fine when she was getting clean by someone else. Yes my dog is 12 years old and yes she is old and shy, she has a little arthritis and that's why I'll pay anything as long as she gets treated with patience but sadly it wasn't the case, the woman told me not to come back because my dog was "aggressive" towards her and not only that! She proceeded to tell people that were waiting at the store that my dog was aggressive and not friendly while she was charging me $$$ it happen so quickly! then I thought she was giving a treat to my dog but NO she had the square credit card reader on my dogs mouth and said See! She tried to bite me??? So crazy! It's a dog! I even thought it was a treat since she was putting it in her mouth! Awful! Her lack of love for animals it's so obvious, I try to asked a couple questions about her gums since they are professionals" and her answer was to take my dog the vet bc they don't know and they are not vets which I'm aware of but it was a simple question like do you think her gums are swollen? Anyway She was so rude and it was hard to hear that she was rejecting my dog for no reason really I'm guessing they don't like old dogs I really thought they were professionals but sadly they are doing this only for the money. My poor old dog was shaking and scared of her, everything was very very weird to me. Her teeth looked a bit cleaned but She was in and out in 20 mins. If she was so aggressive as she mentioned why they took her in? She had her teeth clean before and never had a problem. Not worth $195 and if you have an old dog please don't take them there do your pet a favor and go somewhere else.

Absolutely love Pettooth. Look, if your pet dentist doesn't sit on the floor and wrap your cat like a burrito, you're going to the wrong pet dentist. Love the affordable and gentle care we get here.

The employees are excellent. They did a great job on our cat's teeth for minimal cost. The vet is very knowledgeable and pointed out a few things for us to monitor. The facility was sketchy but it's to be expected with minimal cost clinics. I will be returning with my dog as well.

Great service at a fraction of the price of vets and even other dog cleaning services. Maia was very honest and straightforward during the consultation for both my pups. One's teeth were just too poor to work on, and the other was pretty bad but she was willing to take a stab. She ended up doing a great job in approximately 30-40 minutes. I will definitely be coming back. The only tough thing is street parking depending on the time of day that you go.

I'm so glad I found Mai Bee! I needed to get my seniors' teeth cleaned (the ones she has left!) but didn't want to put her under anesthesia. Also, most places charge an arm and a leg. I've taken her twice and her vets always comment on how good her teeth look for her age. You need to go twice, once for exam and once to get the teeth cleaned. It's really worth it to me though. Also, doesn't seem to be too traumatic for my dog. She takes it all in stride which is a great sign. I always recommend her to friends, and will always take my current dog and any future dogs here. They make it as easy as it gets.

I was recommended to contact Maia for a dog dental evaluation/dog teeth cleaning by two of my Y friends who took their dogs to see Maia. It is very easy to go online and read the information about Maia and her dog whisperer bedside manner and schedule a dental evaluation as well to first see if your dog is eligible or not nervous about being touched by Maia. You pay upfront for the dental evaluation and then you schedule it. The day of the dental evaluation was rather stressful for our dog, Bebe as we had workers coming and going into our house to do work and I had to put her in the crate to make her feel secure and safe. Then Bebe's appointment with Maia was at the lunch hour on a weekday and the nearby high school students were being released out into the streets for lunch and parking is also a premium in that area on Broadway where Maia does her evaluations/dental cleanings. Maia is located inside the store of PetVet. Parking is a premium and with the high school students milling about outside PetVet, Bebe was a bit skittish. So when I finally found parking and rushed over to the pet store, luckily, Maia had just finished up with a client and was alittle behind schedule so we weren't too late for our appointment. Bebe, however, was skittish and nervous as Maia tried to hold her and calm her down. How I wanted Bebe to be a candidate but she was already stressed out about the workers in our house that morning and going to a new place. However, Maia was able to open Bebe's mouth and take a quick look inside and gave me advice about Bebe's teeth. Maybe, we'll try again another time when things aren't so hectic.

This is the best pet dental service in the East Bay! They offer low cost, non-anesthetic dental cleaning, which is not easy to find, but much more healthy for your dog. Maia and her team are so kind and informative, and my dog, Sherlock, always leaves happy and with a big, white smile!

Unfortunately my dog never got the cleaning because she couldn't stay still, but she was really patient and still attempted to do the cleaning. It was little embarrassing for me but overall very good experience and once my dog ever calms down I would love to bring her back. For now I will have to continue brushing her teeth in the morning and at night until I can afford for a cleaning through VCA or until my dog calms down

Maia has worked with three of my dogs. No matter the type of dog or willingness to undergo a cleaning, she is patient and thorough. I have total confidence in Maia.

Maia has a magical way with the animals--no doubt about it. Never in a million years did I think my human-fearful little dog would let anyone near her with sharp tools--let alone in her mouth scraping teeth at the gum line in a conscious state! Not only does my little one do well every 6 months with Maia and her sharp tools, but Maia aborted a cleaning last time to alert me of a loose molar and a few other things. I sought dental specialist care and my dog needed teeth pulled. She is a much happier girl without those bothersome teeth and healthier gums...and her last cleaning was quick and easy...her teeth nice and white and bright. One thing I learned from Maia and through all of this is that brushing daily with warm water and soft toothbrush is SO worth taking the short amount of time to do. It's part of our bedtime routine...and if you have a little dog, the Colgate Wisp (disposable traveling toothbrush) works awesome in a small dog's mouth. (Just pop out the ball of minty gel in the center and you can use the brush multiple times--I use each for about 2 wks before tossing). Thank you Maia!
