Wonderful spot. Amazing selection of vintage finds and antiques. I bought several great pieces from here. Keep it secret. :)

Great antique shop right next to Jack London square in downtown Oakland. They always have a great selection - and the items are constantly changing which makes frequent visits entertaining. I’ve purchased multiple large furniture items from them. Staff has always been helpful and friendly. The place is also very dog friendly - and my dog always has a friend there when we go (as can be seen from the photos). The place has also been impacted by all of the retail crime that has been hitting Oakland, so definitely great to support their business if you can.

Love this place! It's such a cool store with the friendliest staff. Every first Saturday of the month they have an outdoor market. So cool! I went this past Saturday and it was just super hot that we had to go inside. Too bad they didn't put up a tarp or something to block out the Sun because we would have shopped outside for longer than we did. In any case, I would definitely go back sand totally recommend going.

Excellent selection, well curated, great location. Not overwhelmed with items, really nice pieces feel thoughtfully picked and displayed in a way that lets you visualize how it might be in your space.

Eileen was a super trooper today. We sat & chatted about all the wonderful items featured here at Narrative. She was really helpful answering questions & showed me some of the most elegant burl wood side tables I think I've ever seen!

An interesting store with curated furniture, artwork and curios. Towards the back are small artist studios with some works for display.

This is my favorite store in the east bay. Such a great collection of vintage home decor and furniture. I stop by regularly to see what new treasures have been added and have found some very special pieces.

Small selection of items but perfectly nice and curated. Pricey but the items are niche and nice, just not a ton of options.

One of my favorite antique/vintage stores in the Bay. I especially love Narrative because they have some very high quality pieces that you wouldn't find at nearby traditional antique markets. They have a beautiful (and constantly rotating) selection of furniture, artwork, and various home decor/hosting items, as well as other unique pieces (vintage cameras, accent decor and more). It's hard to not walk away with everything you see, but I'm guaranteed to buy something every time I visit. It is a bit of a pricier store, but that's because many of these items are higher quality and well sought after. There is ample street parking in the area, and a few other shops (mostly chains) directly nearby. You're also close to Jack London square, so it's fun to make a day out of it when you're stopping by!

I was in yesterday and browsed at my leisure. When I had a question I was promptly attended to. There are 2 paintings that I am interested in and will probably to get one (maybe both?). All good to report on this end. This place isn't overpriced.

For me a good place to walk around and admire, couldn’t afford anything. It has a very mid century 70’s vibe. In the back there’s a ‘studio art gallery ‘ nicely curated. It seems there are offices back there where they can work. There was some art I loved for $1k+
