Loved recently learning about this establishment- I have yet to go in! From the exterior they looked friendly and offer fresh produce in an area that used to be heavily industrial with limited options in healthier foods. I would totally support if I’m back in the area!

Super friendly helpful staff. Asked for Liquid IV. They didn’t have it but were Johnny on the spot with a similar product they’re thinking of carrying. Even gave me samples for free. Thank you guys! You’re the best.

This would make my 3rd trip to this amazing establishment. This time was a bit different being I ran across an elderly couple who hadn’t had a meal in a few days due to their bank card being froze. The entire staff was kind and patient enough for me to assist in contacting the bank once the purchase was declined. The issue was resolved and wow talking about some delicious chicken rotisserie sandwiches and fries (yes order). We also purchased some strawberries which were VERY sweet, along with other fruits and chips. This is my new go to when I travel!! Wish I was local to order right now:) Thank you to the entire staff for your understandings and kindness.

This place has the best sweet potato fries you’ll ever eat. The chef is incredibly talented. Plus, they have a surprising variety of options, and do so much for the community. PSA: you get 50% off when you use EBT!

Mandela is a small and quaint, grocery cooperative. They had a lot of fresh fruit. I suggest you check the discount bins. I was able to get some oyster mushrooms at a great price and tomatoes. The stuff is very friendly and extremely helpful. It's small yet I was found everything I needed.

I absolutely love Mandela Co-op! The people are fantastic, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. They offer an array of good products, and the samples they provide are incredibly tasty. Now that their kitchen is open again, the food they serve is absolutely delicious.

I wish I lived close to here, because if I did, I would shop here every time I need groceries. I came in looking for Oakland made kubé ice cream, and they were super well stocked with every flavor. Then, to my surprise, I saw various other small local vegan brands stocked, like granola and muffins from Way To Life Foods, and cookies from Sugar Plum Vegan. There were even other vegan products that I'd never seen before, and pre-made vegan meals. Such a great selection considering the size of the store!
