Understocked, craaaaazy overpriced, dirty. I really, really want to patronize my local supermarket instead of Trader Joe's and/or Costco, but this poorly run mega mini-mart presents as if their private equity overlords are trying to run it into the ground and then pick the carcass of real estate after it inevitably closes. Excellent location, tho - hopefully a different operator will get a crack at establishing a decent grocery store that would certainly be supported by the surrounding community.

Please God NO!! Don't go to this supermarket!!! I have brought up numerous issues with management... and again today... and was told "we don't care!" Even though it sits in one of the most unsafe crime ridden areas of Oakland... multiple car break ins daily and mugging in the parking lot..... the prices here are worse than getting robbed. Today... I had a list of 12 items that I needed. When I got to the cashier.... The total was $172.55. I was shocked and double checked the receipt..:: I saw that all prices were high. Specifically... a bottle of hazelnut creamer was $18.55. I said this was $6.99 last week and was told it has a sugar tax for Oakland. I've talked to management before that the sugar tax is on sodas and not every item with sugar!! I went to Safeway..... 2 blocks away.... And bought the exact same 12 items. Same brands, size etc!! The total?? $79.88. Lucky was more than double for the exact same items a few blocks away. I've explained this to management several times... with no change. You might think it's a Lucky's thing?? Nope! Other nearby luckys are almost identical to the Safeway total bill. Bottom line..: stop shopping at this Montclair Luckys! Literally anywhere else it half price or less!

Reliable and well stocked but the prices are a little high and the lines can be long when they close self checkout in the evening.

Last year the meat department was helpful and was able to hold the links I asked for until I got there. This year they were helpful with information on when they were getting then in.

My only problem with Lucky is they run out of baskets very quickly and I end up carrying my items around with me. I was very happy with the customer service though. A welcome surprise in the age of the Supermarket wars. I'm a regular Lucious shopper I guess.

This Lucky used to be better maintained. Most of the staff are helpful and friendly. The produce section is decent. Very easy to park here and the deli staff are great.

Half the sale items were out. Aritsan bread selection is smaller than in the past. Fruit and veggies were fresh and looked good.
