This is a dystopian broom closet masquerading as a lab. I'm not exaggerating. The space is smaller than most janitor's closets. There is only room for 1 patient at a time. The waiting room is down the hall and around the corner so the poor phlebotomist has to go check in between appointments to see if anyone is waiting. The room is so small that is over-crowded with supplies. The ceiling is low. The fluorescent light is dim. There is only one door and no ventilation. The phlebotomist is very nice, but shame on Lab Corp for having their employees work in such a dim, crowded, unventilated dump. It is not healthy. You can see how little they value human beings by the condition they have their employees working under.

Went to this location at 5 pm only to be told that the hours listed (until 6 pm) are not correct. Was told they close at 4:30.

Horrible. I had an appointment, checked in on line, Sat in the lobby waiting to be notified to proceed to the lab as directed. No notification. Finally, I went on a quest to find the lab. Wandered around a big building. Three people tried to locate it. The third one succeeded. No one was there. Locked up. Lights out. Blinds down. The phlebotomist apparently didn’t go to work that day. I was the second patient on this quest. They force you to do everything on line but can’t/don’t let you know on line, your appointment is canceled. They even check you in. I will never use this terrible company again.

I made an appointment here to get a COVID antibody test a couple of weeks ago. I showed up 30 minutes prior, and was told by the hospital staff that the lab was closed that day. I called LabCorp HQ and eventually was told this location had changed their hours and failed to update their online booking system, so I rescheduled for the following week, after being assured that the new appointment I was making was within their operating hours. Then, four hours before my rescheduled appointment, I received a call from the lab saying they were closing in two hours, and if I could make it before then, I could come in, otherwise, I'd have to reschedule. There isn't much point in making an appointment if the lab cannot commit to seeing patients at the times booked. The staff members with whom I spoke were not apologetic. Instead of rescheduling at LabCorp again, I made an an appointment for an antibody test the same day at Carbon Health on Grand Ave, and the experience was night and day. If you have a choice, I'd highly recommend them over LabCorp.

I think it's important to give recognition to these places that people generally don't acknowledge when things go well. I went into the Sutter Health building for my appointment, had my temperature checked and a brief interview by security for Covid-19 precautions. I went up to the second floor and was met by a very friendly phlebotomist that processed me through quickly and efficiently. I departed as she wished me to be safe and well. And that's it - no problems whatsoever. I would definitely return to this Labcorp in the future!

This is a LAB CORPS lab, though it is not named as such in YELP. A very, very bad experience with a very hostile young woman. The valet downstairs (parking) allowed me to park in front for 5 minutes to drop off a lab sample. The door to the upstairs office was locked, so I knocked. A young woman opened the door and as I tried to hand her the sample and explain that I was just dropping it off, she used the door to shove me out of the room and yelled, "We're closed." I left the sample by the door. Oakland has many, many Labs and there is no need to treat people so badly.

This lab is in a tiny office, no windows, and hard to find in the hospital on the second floor. No signage. I went there with the lab form from my MD and all my insurance cards. They said my insurance would not cover the test. They said I would have to leave if I did not agree to pay with a credit card and then if insurance pays I'll get a refund. I called my insurance company who said they would cover it, and that insurance rep spoke with the person at Lab Corp. The Lab Corp phlebotimist said that the diagnosis code was not written on the form, and that was the reason. So I left and called my MD to get that corrected. They gave me the code, said to write it on the form. I called Lab Corp before going in the second time, read them the code and they said all is well. Then when I arrived, they said it was the wrong code number. I called my doctor's office, but the doctor was in with a patient and could not speak with me then. So I left the second time. Both, by the way, were with 12 hour fasting. The next day I spoke with the doctors office and later with my MD, who said the codes were correct. They said I should go to the Lab Corp in their building at 3000 Colby, which I did and it was fine.
