The medical offices are located in several buildings. Today I went to physical therapy. This building has offices, laboratory and a pharmacy. It also has a small snack bar with some very delicious choices.

Kaiser is a joke. Very unprofessional I've called several times to reschedule a surgery I have and many times they never pick up the phone or have told me they'd call back and never do. The person who answered my call saying they'd call back sounded rude. Wasting my damn time.

The one star rating is strictly about my mammogram experience at Kaiser Oakland location. A completely horrible experience from start to finish. As soon as I walked into the room, the technician without addressing me just said take off your clothes and step over to the machine. Every single thing she said to me was a command. There was zero bed side manner, zero attempt to make it even a humane experience. When I asked for a gown because there's none in the room, she returned and threw it onto the chair without knocking the door or letting me know there's finally a gown available. And when i thanked her at the end she just walked out, again without a single word! At that point I'm guessing she was just mad that I even dared to ask her for something as basic as a gown!So obviously I wanted to talk to someone (which I did) because this was NOT my first horrible mammogram experience at Kaiser Oakland. I've had the same procedure done at least fours times, all technicians with zero bed side manner and some downright rude. The same kind of just wanted to get the job done fast, assembly line mentality. Megan Elliot the department head of Mammography immediately wanted to put all the blame on the technician...but the decision to hire people like that was her's! The decision to not provide a gown unless you ask and then to be made to feel like you're asking them a favor was also ALL her's and Kaiser's!!I've had mammogram procedures done at both Kaiser and UCSF and the difference is Night and Day!! And it's not because of UCSF's more medically and technologically advanced facilities but their way of treating patients like humans, not ANIMALS!!!

I wish I could give this place negative 10 stars. Went today, 7/14/22, to get my bf chemo port flushed. He is wheelchair bound. These so called medical professionals allowed me to wheel him back to his treatment area get him to his seat and then proceed to tell me that I am not allowed to be back there but yet, THE MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, had me wheel him back and get adjusted. Not to mention the a****** who was sitting at the desk with his foot propped up and chair all in the aisle couldn't take the time to look up from their personal cell phone to make sure we had a clear path. But to add insult to injury, after they put me back in the waiting room they had the nerve to come and get me to do all the hard work again which was to get him back in the wheelchair. I told the lady in so many words she better bring him to me because if I couldn't stay with him I'm not coming back there to do your job! They are a poor a** excuse of medical professionals. Next time they do some d*** s*** like that I'm going to have to introduce myself and they are not going to like me!!

It's a medical office building... ? It's fine. There is an attached parking garage, which is convenient. There is a Kaiser lab and pharmacy on the ground floor, with other medical offices on the upper floors. Last time I was here staff straight up tackled a homeless man who was trying to come inside to use the restroom. That was a little unpleasant. I guess it's more convenient then the pharmacy/lab at the hospital.

I am very disappointed with the how the Health Education classes are set- up. It seems that Kaiser is intentionally excluding certain members while allowing others to participate. It seems that on-line participation in Health Education classes requires a Google app- that is not available to iPad users. I feel very strongly that it's an unnecessary burden for Kaiser members to have to adopt and download special Google apps in order to participate in virtual support groups. Zoom is the standard used by Kaiser in their MyDoctor application. I avoid uploadIng any product where my personal information may be misused. Google in famous for not caring about customers' privacy and I will avoid using As a result of the class not being available by phone, in person, or by Zoom, I am unable to participate in an important class Directly related to my overall health.

I realized that Kaiser Oakland is better than Kaiser in other locations. I waited 45 minutes at Fremont Kaiser and had to leave before I took my tests due to the over crowding and disorganization in the lab. Kaiser Oakland also has more friendly people. I recommend going to this location over other locations

I am satisfied with my care and have good relationships with my primary care provider and specialists. I have been a member for 2 years now and in my experience, 90% of the staff I encounter are just jaded and sometimes impolite. Not good. I wonder how it is in other KP facilities.

I had an appointment for a booster at 3:15, I arrived 10 minutes early and I end up leaving around 4ish pm. Very crowded and only one station working for Moderna. In general the hospital is very crowded, it's like you are in a shopping mall. The restroom was very dirty like the one at BART.I hope to not visit it at all in the future.

Kaiser seems to have introduced a new computer system, some of which has Artificial Intelligence. In the past I easily got connected with someone who can help me. No more. I have been trying to get in touch with the medical secretaries so my outside doctor could email a report to enter in my record. A search on the kp.org website returns hundreds of irrelevant records. I then called the advice nurse only to discover there was a one hour wait. I send complaints to their webmaster, with mixed results. I love Kaiser and my doctors are first rate. But the communication system is really awful.

This isn’t about Kaiser Oakland in general but about my experience on the phone trying to book an appointment. The nasally broad that answered the phone she sounded as if she should have retired with Fred Flintstone a long long long long long long long time ago. It was 5 min before lunch and once she explained that, I asked her to transfer me and she hung up the phone. What if I had a real emergency? Maybe she had a bad nasally day! Perhaps someone told her that over the phone she sounded like witchy pooh! In today’s day and age one should be nice because trying to be an operator bully….. will get…..

With/for your drive thru COVID appointment, enter on 38th side for car queue. Have both your photo ID and Kaiser card ready and placed on dashboard. Two lane queue turns into 3 testing stations. Have your windows closed until directed otherwise. And try to only have those who are being tested in the car. No pets. Point or wave to who is being tested. Very efficient.

I finally was able to get OUT of KAISER and have Anthem I was seen 8/20 at Kaiser Irvine for my knee after having a meniscal surgery 2 years prior. I explained to the PA that my knee felt unstable, like it was slipping. I also remarked about my increase in pain. I asked for further testing with an MRI however he refused to consider it. I went back to a PCP at Carson and told her I was in severe pain with weight bearing, doing stairs and just walking for my job. I requested Tramadol and she began raising her voice and became angry at me She explained that there is a epidemic of overdoses and that she would not treat my pain. She then said I needed to go to the pain management program. I then waited a month to call Dr. Kelly at Harbor City to discuss my problem and again asked for an MRI. He said via phone conversation that "he knew what was wrong and there was no need for an MRI." Dr. Hall also said there was nothing he could do. Thankfully my new health care provider finally ordered an MRI and it showed a ruptured ACL, torn lateral meniscus, and large Baker's cyst along with moderate arthritis. My arthritis got worse due to no treatment offered and no testing. Kaiser MD's are so talented they can diagnose a problem without seeing you in person so they could do the appropriate tests and actually offer treatment. Everyone is treated like they are drug seeking and they are now sending everyone to the pain management program. This makes Kaiser a lot more $$$$$$. Thanks Kaiser for horrible care and poor service.
