This is our first year working with Vivian and her team at HCCPA. Their value of service is competitive and excellent. When we first approached her to request business tax filing services, we did not have an organized balance sheet and a reconciliation report to start with. However, she patiently walked us though the DOs and DONTs and explained every step of the way in great detail.
After Vivian and her team finished sorting through our business transactions, we discovered another big problem regarding business type, which could cause huge trouble for us, as business owners. However, she responded immediately to our issue and offered a few options for us to consider (both pros and cons). With her proper guidance, the issue was resolved and we were pleased with the outcome.
Vivian is a great CPA and an advisor who actually listens to clients needs and promptly responds to any arise issues during the service. We felt supportive and would highly recommend her for business tax filing!

I had the pleasure of my second year doing my taxes with Vivian. Tried to do my taxes using online software, I just had too many questions with my real estate rental property. I decided to try out a professional and I have not been disappointed by choosing Vivian. She was friendly and professional. Also, got bigger than expected tax refunds for both years. Vivian is warm, professional and very knowledgable. She completed our taxes efficiently (married filing jointly and LLC's first year) and got us a big refund! Vivian was so patient in answering all of our questions. She even helped me with QBO bookkeeping and was just wonderful to work with. We are definitely hiring her services again next year!

I hired Vivian in early 2022 because my prior CPA had moved out of California. I was looking for the following:1) Tax preparation on my S Corp2) Personal tax preparation3) Someone who could do ad-hoc analyses to assist me when I was making investment decisions.I've been very happy with Vivian. First, she is very thorough: she discovered some errors overlooked by my prior CPA both on personal and s-corp taxes. She completed both of my returns last year and did a great job on them. And this year she has again quickly completed my 2022 s-corp taxes.Second, she is very knowledgeable. When we first met, she took my enormous return and skimmed through it and identified some issues right away that she would fix. She also proactively brought up items that are good for me to know going forward and would impact my investments. She has also helped me analyze tax implications of a 1031 exchange for real estate and some tricky debt rollover issues with my s-corp.Third, she is responsive. I can count on her getting back to me quickly on questions I may have. When I contact her, I always get a timely response back ... no need to hound.Fourth, she is customer service oriented. Unlike some other Tax professionals I've dealt with, there is no condescension or attitude. She is extremely professional.I spent a good deal of time looking for a new tax accountant and met with several who were missing one or more elements above. I am thankful that I waited until meeting Vivian. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Thank you Vivian Chen for preparing my taxes for last year . I sold my house last year and I needed someone with a lot of experience and knowledge of Capital Gains taxes after someone sells a house . After I sold my house last year I was planning to pay taxes after the end of the year but I am glad I talked to Vivian because she told me to pay an estimated Capital Gains tax to the State and Federal to avoid paying interest after the end of the year . She saved me a lot of money . The staff was very professional and did an excellent job . I will be using Vivians HCCPA services from now on

I needed help with a specific complicated personal tax issue, and Vivian and her team were amazing in preparing my tax returns and helping me deal with my situation. They were responsive, incredibly detail oriented, and also had a super fast turnaround on my tax returns. They were also very patient and answered all my questions. Vivian is such a kind and honest person (and even gives back to her community!) and made me feel a lot less stressed about my situation.
