I called and asked if they accept donations. The response was that they are very choosy about which items they accept. I only have collector items so I didn't think they would refuse my items. They accepted the ones I brought. I'll leave a pic of one of the African Masks I gave them.

The people that work here are rude. Everything is priced more than you'd expect and I'm speaking of items not "in excellent condition". They will not budge on any of their prices, and quite honestly they treat you like a second class citizen. The manager, Nick, is the worse. His right hand gal is not much better. I wont shop there anymore. Now, having said that there is a front and back to the store. The people who work the back of the store (where all the sofas and chairs and furniture are, are super nice and helpful. Every time I have gone in Leslie is always so pleasant and eager to help, like pulling down furniture so you can see it better, and is much more knowledgeable about the worth of their items.I will continue to shop there. I give that crew and their customer service a 4 STARS!! (as opposed to 2)As a final note, there are (2) buildings to this business. The second building has "ST VINCENT De PAUL Building Materials" painted in front of it, and they sell mostly repurposed items... lighting, doors, cabinets, appliances etc. and they are AWESOME!! Helpful, funny, knowledgeable and super helpful!! I give them 5 STARS!!! All is all this is a great place to shop if you are remodeling your home, but honestly, RUN, do not walk, past the first half of the Habitat for Humanity store and go straight to the back, you'll save yourself from interaction with some very rude people!!I would get into details as to why, but I'm afraid they may start jacking up the price if I do purchase something.Yep, I said it. Be greatful y'all! Appreciate your customers. If it wasn't for us, you wouldn't have a job.

This place is huge. So much good stuff. Tiles, flooring, outdoor furniture, Article couches (seconds from factory?), nice bathtubs, tables, chairs, dressers, artwork....on and on, no reason to buy new. They've got some great unique finds like huge wood doorways and huge outdoor gazebo for those with the means to take this stuff home. A lot of fun to shop here.

I was just snooping around the store and discovered a treasure chest. I got a gazebo, patio furniture and fireplace. Then I went back for the umbrella. Now, I'm waiting for my first cookout this weekend. I love this store and the staff are amazing.

Great prices on a variety of items: not just building materials but paint, cleaning materials, furniture (both donated and and new), even new Egyptian cotton sheets,

Hit or miss (not surprising since they rely on donations) BUT I have found a couple great items here. Bought a dehumidifier last year when they had over a dozen brand new in box, it was only like $40 and new they were over $100. Has worked really well. Got a ceiling light for a decent price. Went in March 2023 and got a brand new gazebo for $450 when the same one sold at Lowes for $980 or so. One of the employees also helped me load it in the truck because it was very heavy. Paint prices aren't that great compared to big box stores. Got some cool Kalt brand tool belt stuff and they have safety glasses for $3.

I absolutely Love this place! They have a great selection of affordable, quality products! Even if you're not sure what you need/want, go browse around and become inspired!

This place had its moment about ten years ago. Everything was dirt cheap. Product flew out the door and new amazing things would replace them. It was just fun seeing what kind of unusual things could be had for next to nothing. Now, the place is more like a museum that will sell old things at new prices. Nothing moves. It's like management has ZERO incentive to attract business and make money. If I had to guess, it might be better viewed as a laundromat.

This place is awesome! There's all kinds of estate furniture at affordable-ish prices, and every kind ofhardware you could possibly want for your house, also, if you don't like the price, just wait a week and go back, I got the coffee table set I wanted for $35, a couple of weeks ago it was$250 apiece!!! Also, cool staff and good painting supplies and building materials really cheap

Today my mom went into the Oakland location looking for pavers, she was excited about her finds. She returned home to take measurements for another area to add some tile as well. I accompanied her on the second trip there. A friendly associate helped us set items aside and gave us prices for items along the way. It was overall a pleasant experience until we met the manager there. I liked this large planter there, there were 4. 3 of those were broken and one was scratched all around the outside. I thought the price was a bit steep for their condition so we thought we'd ask for a discount, the friendly associate called over the manager. Our smiles quickly turned as he started to talk to us very condescending, the conversation started off in an attempt to get a few dollars off to him talking about how he needs to make a profit to be a successful business, how there's currently an inflation going on and how he was going to let them sit 3 months before bringing the price down. We came in for a decent shopping experience, not to be schooled on business. I am aware that business need to make a profit, even non-profit businesses make profit! I am also very aware of the inflation. This encounter left a sour taste in our mouths. We walked out buying NOTHING. I felt horrible because my mom was excited about the pavers and items she was going to buy. Plus we made 2 trips here today. I personally don't feel we were asking for much. There's other discount stores that sell items at a "discount" and if items are damaged they give you a few dollars off, no big deal! Win win situation. The manager's attitude was unnecessary! No one has ever talked to me in that manner before.

over their website i scheduled a pick up. I put lots of effort into taking photos and sending them. the person on the other side also put in a lot of effort looking at the photos and telling me which items they would like. Then emails confirming the pick up date, then an email confirming the 2 hour window 12 - 2 pm. Pick up day comes... All that effort wasted because of this ONE Delivery driver who showed up early and decided not to wait 10 minutes. He cancelled the pick up. This early arrival is confirmed by the person he was supposed to meet. She showed up at 11:55 am. BTW, when she responded to the email saying the 2 hour window worked, she shared her phone # and to call for anything. They did not read that email. The new information was not given to anyone. What is the point of all this confirmation if it is not read or used? I"m so pissed because it could have been SO easily avoided. What a waste of all our time. Now, I consider H4H untrustworthy. Kyle ( the person I spoke to over the phone) never thought to offer another pick up time.

I bought a finished granite countertop with an attached undermount sink, back and side splashes, and three pre-drilled holes for a faucet and control knobs for a standard 36" bathroom vanity cabinet that I ended up not using. Because of the pandemic, no one from Habitat would come by to pick it up, so I brought it to their yard in Oakland. No one at the yard seemed terribly interested in a brand new granite countertop, so I just left it there.

This place has way more than you think!! I would be here all day writing down everything they sell, but it would be a shorter list of what they don't sell. If you look around your home, or your rv for instance, they have it. From silverware in your kitchen to lawn chairs on the patio. Even brand new items such as dishwashers and appliances. The store itself is probably at least 2acres filled with everything to build, redecorate or restore any habitable place. Make sure to make lots of room for whatever you find. If you go for something specific, be sure to take measurements and even a couple of mobile photos. And plan on at least an hour to shop, some of the best things are everywhere...

Friendly, help staff, good selection of items. The unfortunate thing is many items don't last on the floor very long
