Gypsy Road Studio is a wonderful shop and the coolest place to check out in Ashland. It is a really cool curiosity shop and art gallery, crammed full of an absolutely impressive and eclectic collection of amazing and rare treasures. The shop is full of Asian antiques, vintage jewelry, and tempting arrays of old Chinese porcelain. You can find very fine quality Mardi Gras masks, paintings, sculptures, and small finely carved stone objects. It is like a museum, fun to look at everything. Upstairs is an extravagant art gallery, also full of beautiful and compelling artwork, where the first Friday of every month is the best time to meet locals with live music. The owner creates a welcoming environment and is super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The business reflects great expertise and good taste, and it is known for hosting events for the community. It is a terrific experience and worth the walk on your walkabout in the city.
