They will tune up my machine but will not wipe its surface. Omg, I love my sewing machine but you will not take care of it? I will go somewhere where someone is willing to clean the outside of my sewing machine and provide the great customer service.

Went in recently researching purchasing a small part for a Bissell rug cleaner. Brought the old part and had the model number at hand. I figured these guys had to have everything judging from the archive in the back room. I was told that the part doesn't exist as the model was older and that was it. I went online to Bissell and ordered the part it should be here within 2 to 5 days. I would have gladly come back and paid the extra amount if someone would take an extra minute to do what I did. I'm sure they know what they're doing but they couldn't be bothered.

I brought the vacuum cleaner here because it wasn't sucking up trash like it was before and this was the nearest vacuum shop I was able to find in oakland. I was able to walk in and explain what the issue was. He took it to the back and worked on it for about 10 minutes. It was clogged up with stuff and he was able to clean it out and change one of the belts. He accepts cash as well as card. Not only does he work on vacuum cleaners but he also works on sewing machines. He sells numerous vacuum cleaners and sewing machines.

My Dyson attachment broke and wouldn’t detach. I took it in on a Saturday and they fixed it in one hour. I was also able to buy a used Dyson attachment from them. Slightly costly but worth it. Glad to have a service like this available and definitely cheaper than buying a new Dyson.

I love this place. I live nearby and bought both a vacuum cleaner and sewing machine from them. I have had the vacuum, a Meile White Star, repaired a time or two here, and have always been happy with their service, The vacuum finally lost its will to live after 25 years, and I decided to replace it with the current model. They guaranteed to match online prices, and when I came home, I discovered a sale price at Amazon that was significantly less than I'd paid. I went back to Grand Lake Sew & Vac and they looked it up and gave me a refund immediately. These folks are true to their word and are excellent technicians. I ams o glad I can support this local business and so glad they are in my neighborhood.

My Dyson vacuum. wasn't working. I called Grand Lake Sew & Vac, the quoted a price for a service and new filters. I took my vacuum in and it was ready in 4 days. The charged less their quote. I was pleasantly surprised.I just used my vacuum to clean after removing a Christmas Tree. The vacuum worked like new.This place was fast, honest, polite and did quality work. I'll use them again and am comfortable recommending them to friends.

The guys running this business are A+ people and vacuum repair professionals. They went the extra mile to find a replacement motor for my high end Dyson cordless vacuum. Other places I called just tried to sell me a new one. They even gave me a loner vacuum for a few days - because of course mine broke two days before a dozen people were coming over for thanksgiving. To top off the great experience the labor cost was half what I was expecting.

After having a terrible experience with Michael's, and a sewing machine I bought there, I googled this place and went in to look at sewing machines. I was greeted by the owner who has 30+ yrs of experience. He made a recommendation, threw in some free accessories, gave me some knowledge and I was on my way. The customer service here is A+, excellent! He answered all my questions. I highly recommend this business to anybody looking for a vac or a sewing machine. Support your local small business!!
