The location shows it’s active but the location is either closed down and still listed or was moved and the new location is not updated. Wasted my time driving here only to arrive at a vacant office space smh

There’s a young lady by the name of Rayanette, she is always so full of joy, so happy and so eager to help I just want to give you a thumbs up young lady, just for your hospitality, and just bringing joy to my day when I came in the branchonly been there twice, but she was so hospitable very well groomed very beautiful young lady. Keep up the good work thumbs up just for your outstanding personality. .

Terrible customer service very unorganized. Zero stars the wait time is ridiculous. The it's always a long wait .manager always has excuse for the long wait . I do not recommend Oakland Golden 1:(

Update: Golden 1 Credit Union has relocated to 2251 Broadway, Oakland, effective March 21, 2022. It is on the north west corner of Broadway and Grand. As stated in their letter addressed to me, dated about a month ago, this location is a "new, full-service branch...in downtown Oakland in the Hive, a bustling, mixed-used commercial development with popular retail shops, restaurants, and ample parking for our members." (Quoted passage is from the Senior Vice President, Retail Officer of Golden 1.) The branch is well lit with natural sunlight coming through their huge glass windows and it is more spacious than the previous location on Clay Street. There are five teller windows plus one window for the disabled customers. Three office cubicles are available for customers to discuss the home buying and refinancing needs of the community with local advisors. Street parking is nearby and so are public parking garages. Public transportation (AC Transit 51A) is within walking distance to this credit union. Cash only ATM service will remain in service at the Clay Street Branch and Grand Avenue Branch locations.

So I'm going to offer this review more or less as a progress report for Golden one credit union. Shall we begin? Ok, so I decided to refinance my 2018 Toyota Tacoma. Credit Karma was the pathway to starting the whole process with suggestions to refinance. That was not going well. And by the way don't do yourself the disservice of letting credit Karma suggest anything to you in the way of refinancing. You'll find your credit score plummeting from pings from lenders looking into your credit. Lots of them. But I digress. But one of the lenders was Golden One. The pathway to that loan was stifled by the credit one app(or something). So, tired of all those shenanigans, I decided to reach out to G1 directly. Ok now we've got some traction here finally. Fast forward to- got my loan at a significantly lower rate and payment. Yaaaay!!! So based on all the credit checks etc,. They offer me a personal line of credit. Awesome! Or is it? Now we've got problems. Basically I'm approved for the loan(no I'm not telling you how much). But I will say, as many of us are financially doing our best to get by, it was a very welcome break in the storm. Now I wish they'd never offered it. It's like a carrot being hung in front of you that you will never obtain. Here's why. It's the 21st century right? (I know I'm doing "that" again). Golden one seems to be left in another century when it comes to understanding the the needs and uses of modern day employment payment access. Basically a lot of us are getting paid paperless. You know, direct deposit. Or you may be a 1099 contractor. No paystubs. That's the problem here. So I'm good to go. the funds will be accessible in a few days. I'm telling you I was really relieved to have this happen. Wouldn't you? But no. They need a physical paystub. Oh. Here we go. I explain that I'm a contractor. No paystubs. Then sometimes I'm paid direct deposit. They agreed to a screen shot or viewing my banking records. Nope. they went back on that. Or should I say the underwriters did(the buck be passeth). So I figured a way to get a paystub. but it was going to take a few weeks because of the whole payroll Weekly offset(you know, so the payroll service can sit on YOUR money in THEIR account a little longer to make money on your money I.E. making interest on your pay). By the time I finally get a paystub the offer has expired. Now I have to start the whole process all over again. Btw I'm in the middle of looking for an apartment( more pings on my credit). And my credit card usage is a little higher(because I didn't get the loan from credit one). So now I'm denied the loan because my credit score dropped since originally applying. Due to all the factors laid out. So yeah, I got a great refinancing on my vehicle. At least that's something. But that's not the end of the story. So I've been trying to use their app or go online to make a truck payment. None of them work. All the information I'm entering is correct. It is. Once again I'm dealing with dark ages tech that doesn't work. I don't have time to take off work to do banking. I'm swamped because people are not showing up to work because the government keeps giving them checks to stay at home. Unbelievable! They need to put that teet back in the bra and tell people to go to work. And you know damn well, most of you can. Yes you do. Just making excuses to sit around and collect free money. Leaving people like me to tow the line so you can sit around. Many of you do need that money to get by for obvious reasons. But some of you... Ooops got a little off topic there. Eeep! Where was I? Oh yeah! Your online access is terrible Golden one. Let's review. No personal loan. Thanks for dangling a carrot that was never going to end up in a salad. But hey, thanks for lowering my truck payments. To be continued... Oh. Btw. Don't return a comment stating "we're sorry you feel that way". That is the most p

This is the worst lender I have ever experience in my life. Their systems do not work. Do not let a car dealer talk you into using this company for a loan under any circumstances. They don't answer the phone, they don't send you statements and you can't use the website easily as they ask you for information like your mother's maiden name that they don't collect at the dealer. I spent literally hours trying to contact them. Then after you pay off the loan, in my experience, they didn't report the account as closed for over a month to the credit bureaus. This company is terrible. Note to car dealers, you are not helping your customers by using this company.

Dejanee is an angel - so patient and really helpful. All the staff are very nice and friendly. I was able to get a new account opened quickly.

Reps need to be more clear on actions and let patrons know. My paycheck bounced for the second time. I wish the first time a teller would of told me that I have to resolve those issues physically inside a branch with a teller because I wasted my time and exposed myself to unsafe situations trying to deposit cash at your branch when it’s dark. Never told me my card/acct gets restricted.

Horrible company! I was trying to refinance my home. They waster 5 months of my life asking for things week after week. They charged me nearly 900 to have my house appraised only to send me a denial letter after all this time. I have a credit score of over 800. My loan amount was less than 25% of my loan value and I have a high income. They are completely incompetent and a waste of time. I am closing my account asap! Do not waste your time with them.
