New Ocean isn't a market, it's fast food chinese and a candy store. eats: 1.85 per item curry chicken- -little curry taste, chicken had skin and bones tasted ok -mushroom chicken mostly celery, carrot, mushrooms, little chicken heavy msg aftertaste 2.5 stars take outs: -not a destination but got the hungries -metered parking -food lukewarm, msg laced, otherwise good value -cash only

The food is ok. I notice that when my staff and I eat the chowmein whether it's pork or chicken, our stomach bubbles like champagne. I know it's TMI but I'm just saying it may be the MSG in the food that gives us gas. I'm not trying to be nasty or anything, I'm just keepin it real.

I came to this place because like always I am craving Chinese food...LOL I usually go to this one place on Fruitvale because they are just right down the street from the 34th avenue post office that I have to go to everyday. So I went to that place and it was closed and the only other place I could think of was this place. I just never go because its right off E.14th and there is never any parking but this time I found parking right in front of the place. I got to plates both with Fried Rice and Chow Mein but one with the side of Sweet n Sour Chicken and the other with Beef Broccoli. Their portions are decent so, when I got to work my sister and split our sides. For both plates I paid 9.75 not bad. The food was ok for Fast Chinese Food. only thing is that its CASH ONLY so I had to run across the street to Wells Fargo for cash and it charged me 3 dollars to get 20 out since I am not a Wells Fargo banker. That sucked. But the food is decent and I will be returning if that one other place on Fruitvale is closed when I go to the post office.
