I always enjoy shopping at Flax, today was better than ever. I met Jane Andreasen, an amazing woman who manages the pens and pencil department. I happened to have pictures of each pen in my collection that needed refills. She immediately recognized each brand and model and knew the history of all of my pens, some 40 years old. Of course I purchased each refill she recommended and then began to look into other products she liked. We spent the most pleasant hour at her counter. I learned more about pens, ink and pencils than being an architect for 50 years.
If I were wealthy, I would buy this woman a store of her own to share her passion with the public. Thank you Flax, for having Jane manage a part of your store.

Love this store. Staff are always helpful and kind in their help. Supplies any artist will enjoy. Highly recommend getting lost in here

Like most flax art and design stores this one is a very nice one. Not great curb appeal, but once you get inside they've got everything you might possibly need. And they even have a small parking lot out back. This store even has a small theater inside.

One of the best art supply stores ever! Now if they could only expand into more stationery (Hobonichi, Jibun Techo, Midori, etc.) that would be fantastic!

They have almost everything you need when it comes to art supplies. The staff is helpful and polite. I really like this place and will be back for more.
The only thing I would recommend is for better lighting. It seemed quite dim in certain sections. It was a rainy and cloudy day, so they might have better lighting with the sun out. Either way, some strategic lighting could really help.
