Even before saying “hello” they will tell you what time the store closes. Also, you can’t purchase or order doors on Saturday and if you come on a weekday, you have to come before 3. None of this information is available online of course.
I’m providing an additional star because they’re local and clearly avail themselves to those who do repairs and large scale projects for a living.

I have been loyal to this lumber yard for many years.... but honestly, this place is a B.S. why dont they post up no return lumber with no nail or screw hole.... i am so mad. Aware all contractor this place is not good.... wanna buy lumber go to golden state lumber. Suppose today i gonna buy $1000+ more, but forget it they will lose a customer.... do not go here, buy ur lumber... period... I've just a few screw holes... no return....

Just a series of unpleasant disappointing experiences one after another. It all started with the wrong quote over the phone (be careful! ask for a quote number and the name of the sales person). Delivered defective material and wanted to charge two delivery fees (to pick it up and deliver replacement). Second delivery also had defects. Not blaming them for their contractor, blaming them for not caring enough to inspect the materials they deliver after promising to do so.

Prices are very reasonable and returns are easy, so don’t worry about getting too much. The tool and hardware prices are the same or lower than the box box stores, highly recommended checking out what they have before buying everything at HD. Staff know their stuff, and they can answer most of your questions within reason. Delivery is free over $1500, but it’s easy to pull up and get things loaded in your car. The staff in the yard load up what you need very quickly. Great experience overall, definitely coming back for other house projects in the future.

Definitely could be better. Most of the people that work here are nice and try to do a good job. The lumber yard experience is annoying and time consuming. Other local suppliers are much more helpful with loading your vehicle. I only go here because it's the only option in oakland. At least it's better than home depot.
