I had no idea it would be 600 for a hem and a shoulder strap shortening, truly enlightening. There were 7 layers to hem and the sleeves are detachable so the shoulders were more complicated than I knew. I didn't want a bustle. They did a wonderful job and I felt great in my dress. I chose this alterations shop because another reviewer had the same dress (Jenny Yoo Lourdes).

Eclipse Alterations did a wonderful job tailoring my wedding dress! I was nervous, because the space feels less fancy than some of the other wedding dress tailors. But after running to a bunch of places around the east bay, this was by far the best quote, so I hoped for the best. When I was unsatisfied with the bustle the first time, she redid it to my liking, and it ended up looking great! The clasps for the bustle blended in perfectly. My only slight disappointment is that the bustle clasps came out when I danced too hard at the wedding so by the end of the night my dress was not staying in the bustle at all and kept falling to the ground. For me, it was worth the $300+ I saved as it looked amazing and only started to fall out when dancing too hard at the end. All in all, I would definitely recommend this tailor, especially if they can get tighter clasps for their bustles! I loved my dress!!

My wedding dress came about 6 months early from the manufacturer- in the same week we found out my fiancé's visa was about to expire and the new one was not forthcoming so we said eff the big wedding and eloped. Unfortunately I needed my dress tailored for the new ceremony in 10 days time.
She showed me what could be done in that time and was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Other customers stopped by and chatted and it felt very neighborhood-y. The dress turned out stunning for my dream wedding at the winery. I would whole heartedly recommend her for the collaboration and problem solving and how kind she was.

Do not use this person. I gave her a pattern and coat to custom make for me in August 2022. Almost 2 years and she stll did not get it right. No communication on status and every time I called or came to the shop , she was supposedly working on it.
So unprofessional. Do depend on her to meet any time deadlines. She will disappoint every time.

She did an amazing job alternating my dress as though I bought it like this, she added a train in the back and the two puff sleeves exactly how I wanted it. I highly recommend her❤️

I came into this shop to inquire about if they would be able to fix a tear in a dress and she said it wouldn’t be possible. While helping me another customer came in and the worker stopped helping me and ignored me the rest of the time I was in there. I asked her twice if we could turn the dress into a shirt and she continued helping the person that came after me. I left very irritated because she just ignored me and refused to help me come up with solutions. I went to another alternations place and we found a way to disguise the tear with ruching and I will be picking up next week! Poor customer service I will not return for anything else in the future!

I was looking everywhere for my wedding dress alteration and I'm so glad to have found and worked with Thuy! She met with me about just weeks before my wedding and was able to hem, bustle, and alter my form-fitting dress perfectly. Due to the dress's design and length, it was quite complicated to create a seamless bustle, but Thuy was able to execute it flawlessly and recommended a beautiful bustle that was clean and chic that matched my vision. On my wedding day, I received tons of compliments for my dress and the photos turned out great. With the bustle, I was also able to twirl around in the dress without any issues. Thuy is incredibly skilled at what she does, her prices are reasonable, and she is kind and accommodating which made this whole experience smooth and easy!

Eclipse is one of the options of tailors in the area recommended by BHLD. I called the place and Thuy was very helpful. I told her that I want to wear my wedding dress for our first dance but it has a long trail. She recommended to bustle my dress from the inside to make it look neat. And she altered it perfectly. I really do love her work. Thank you so much

I desperately brought in two short white dresses 10 days before my wedding. I was so worried that they wouldn't be done in time but I was told that they could be altered in ~5 days and I was so relieved! They did an amazing job with the dresses and at a price I felt was very fair! They even did one of the dresses fast enough that I wanted her to take in the bust a bit more and she did it in 48 hrs. Definitely coming back and recommending all my friends :)
