This place is great. They have everything a cook, restaurant, kitchen or home could need. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Tonight I was in a real bind and needed something but I wouldn't get there in time before they closed. Harry went out of his way to meet me somewhere with those items. I'm sure this is not a normal thing but he knew this was a critical need and he made it happen. Thank you!!

Ordered a equipment and smallwares for a new restaurant. They were meticulous at collecting payment when I ordered. They would not take a check, it had to be a direct desosit from my bank. I had returns which they authorized, for over $5k and there was also returns smallwares which understandably would have some restock fees. They took 2+ months to return the smallwares, and did not issue a check for the equipment in the meanwhile. I finally checked on my account status and they said they had my account reconciled and were sending a check. A month later, I had not received it. I emailed to find out what was happening. It was "sitting on a desk waiting to be signed" FOR OVER A MONTH. When I got the check it was over $1k less than the amount than the authorized returns. So somehow I paid more for the smallwares to be returned than I even purchased them for in the first place. Or they stiffed me. I would have kept the smallwares and sold them on craiglist if I had known they would give me minus $2k+ for them. I will never know because I can get no information from them about how they reconciled my account and why I did not get refunded the full amount for the authorized returns. Nor does my accountant have the information he needs to complete my asset list. They are certainly all business when you are ordering but when you are owed a refund monkey business starts. If you need a salad spinner, shop away. If you plan to spend a lot of money go somewhere else.

This is one of my favorite stores, it's the best place by far to get stuff for your home kitchen. Things like mixing bowls and whisks and sheet pans don't need to be fancy, just well-made so they are easy to clean and can be used a million times, and this is the best store to get that sort of stuff. Good prices, and a good inventory that changes so it's worth going back. I got a really good bread knife and a bunch of stuff for my pizza oven last time I was there.

I will never shop here again. I purchased this Vollrath commercial 20 Qt Stock Pot at East Bay Restaurant Supply on 12/23.22. I used it once on 12/23 to brine a turkey. It was perfect and shiny when new. I rinsed the pot and washed it in the DW on regular temperature not high, and not sanitize. When it came out it was completely discolored. I went to the store 1/7/23 to return it within 30 days and was even willing to pay their restock fee of 20%. The merchant told me their policy is to not accept returns unless the merchandise is in new condition. That is impossible as this pot is clearly of poor quality even though priced at ~$200. No where on this heavy duty, commercial quality pot or online does it say not dishwasher safe. To the contrary, it sounds indestructible with lifetime warranty. They tell me the pot will work just fine and I should keep it. My wife cannot display the pot in the kitchen as it looks awful. I even offered to exchange it with them and buy a different brand. I told them I will not pay and will be contacting Visa to dispute the charge as I am dissatisfied and they don't seem to care. I do not recommend this merchant at all. I rarely have problems with merchants as I buy quality products from good retailers. But sometimes it is hard to find what you need... I cant give zero stars or I would.

Great selection of items. I purchased plates and bowls that I could not find anywhere near home. This places blows away Crate and Barrel. I found thier prices to be below average. I would recommend this place to anyone shopping for a restaurant or home.
