Yelp forces you to mark at least one star, but I'd give my last experience none. I was there to buy decongestant. I was unfamiliar with all the options so needed to read the packaging before making my choice. I walked up to the pharmacy to request a bottle of this over the counter medicine which they require, most likely to counter theft. The staff in the pharmacy were just starting to close up the pharmacy, with staff still behind the counter, but much to my dismay refused to help me even though I was visibly sick and politely asking - really poor customer service. It's too bad we no longer have local pharmacies that might actually care about their customers.

Pharmacy hours change constantly, and they don't update the hours on Google Maps, so I never know if they'll be open when I show up.

So long as Carla, Luis,and the Pharmacist continues to work at the Fruitvale location. These folks are unrivaled with respect to customer care and service. Carla was the first pharmacy staff that I interacted with and she made my experience, well, unforgettable! She is stellar! Furthermore, I have had nothing but a smooth experience at this location, every staff member has been far beyond my expectations :)

Terrible customer service, received text stating medicine are ready for pickup.Went to pharmacy, staff asked to come next day as it's not ready yet.Totally don't care for customers time it's pathetic service.

Tried switching to this pharmacy recently. After 2 months of error filled orders and poor customer service I have finally given up and am looking for a new place. They literally never got my entire order right, and I usually had to wait 10+ mins on hold just to talk to someone. Not surprising since they are owned by a insurance company.

This store perpetually looks like it was robbed a few hours before you got there. Shelves are mostly empty. Steel security gates are pulled halfway down. Employees are cloistered in a corner of the store, an erie silence because absolutely nobody is in there.Oh and because this probably is less of a joke than reality, seemingly anything over $5 is locked up and requires you to call an employee. But good luck getting anyone's attention.

Everything is locked behind glass and there's no one to get it out for you. I stood there waiting for twenty minutes ringing the bell over and over just to buy a tube of toothpaste before giving up and leaving empty handed. Infuriating.

This location has one of the RUDEST and CONDESCENDING employees that I have ever encountered. She is working in the pharmacy. My simple question regarding an elderly family members prescriptions turned into the ATTITUDE. After 25 years of this family member going here, THIS WAS THE FINAL STRAW for this place. Its a shame. Most of the other employees are nice. One BAD apple.......STAY AWAY!! There are better alternatives!

Pharmacy Staff over the phone : -Very rude- extremely hostile-lie to you by telling you what you want to hear so they can get you off the phone asap. -doesn't always have the appropriate staffing to actually function as a pharmacy the whole time it's open. Worst experience ever. Literally told them I'm dealing with end of life care and these meds for symptom management were very important.My Doctors office already made sure to verify and made sure to ask if they are able to fill it that day. Unfortunately they lied. Then the Leif when I had called to ensure they gotten the prescription and are able to fill it. They guy said "give the pharmacist an hour to verify and it should be all good". Basically he just told me what I wanted to hear to get me off the phone. If he had been honest, I would have had enough time to contact my doctor to get the prescription sent somewhere else! When I called back, the "pharmacist" said she wasn't able to fill it bc the managing pharmacist isn't there. "Come tomorrow and he'll figure it out" meaning there's no guarantee that I'll be able to pick them up tmrw. I called back to see if they could ask the pharmacist to send it to another cvs but the guy didn't transfer me to the pharmacist, instead I was met with the strong arm. A mean women that was very rude and hostile. "This is the third time you done called here!! We already told you everything and you need to stop calling!!" I try to defend myself but instead I get hung up on. I call back to continually get hung up on. As a patient who's gone through so much trauma from being in and out of hospitals and surgeries and at this point needing a heart transplant at 31, the last thing I need is for medical professionals to treat me so damn poorly. It's damaging and traumatizing. I'm made enough to go over there to snap photos of the employees so I can bring it up to the managing pharmacist. But the stress and anger from that would probably set my heart into a bad arrhythmia and the last thing I need is my defibrillator implant going off.

Pharmacy is so slow. Don't know if they're understaffed, but with 7 people behind the counter they only have on at pick up. Also Everytime I pick up they say my insurance is not in the system and I have to wait an extra 10 minutes. Corporations are garbage. I miss independent pharmacies.
