I recently booked an appointment with Charlotte, after being on the hunt for a new stylist for a few months. And I am so happy that I did! In my experience, it normally takes a few times for a stylist to get get accustomed to a new client and how they like their hair styled, but Charlotte did such a nice job, that I felt like she'd been seeing me for years! She was attentive to what I wanted and made suggestions about healthy hair care. I was happy with my relaxer, as well as my cut and the salon's prices are reasonable. There's also a nice vibe in the salon--professional and down to earth.

I've lived in Oakland 10 years and I've had a hard time finding a good stylist my fault for going to the least expensive places and barber shops. those other folks were OK, but they didn't blow me away like Charlotte at Cuts n Stuff has. Charlotte and her stylist were warm and welcoming from the moment I stepped in. I had a few photos to show Charlotte what I wanted. She kindly informed me we don't call it "***** anymore, it's a sophisticated "long layered look" now. Charlotte knew exactly what to do and expertly freed me from about a pound of long straight, unimaginative ponytail hair. She also had some recommendations for making my grays pop in a prettier way. I left Cut's n Stuff that day with the best hair style I've had in 10 years, accentuating my natural wavy hair. So of course I'll be coming back for trims to keep it perfect. Plus points for having an ear hook mask for me when I showed up with my head hugging N95 mask. The place is well set up with fans, filters, and dividers to help reduce the risk of Covid transmission. I felt comfortable and well cared for the whole time. I know Cuts n Stuff specializes in Black hair styles and technology, so I feel extra lucky she had time to fit me in and agreed to take me on.

Professional, well maintained salon. Stylists are old school but are up on the latest trends in hair styling and are focused on maintaining healthy hair. I've never been happier with the condition of my hair and the warm environment that Cheryl and Charlotte have created

I cant say enough about Cuts N Stuff...the salon is professional and they provide premier customer service...Had a human hair wig that needed styling - Charlotte is the "wig whisperer" best hair salon experience I've had in years!

This place is horrible.Cheryl was extremely unprofessional.I had asked her to dye my hair red and to add clip ins and she misled me in believing she had experience with extensions, when it was actually her first time. When she dyed my hair, she left pink dye on my ears and it looked very sloppy.She charged me close to $600 to dye my hair buy the extensions and to dye the clip ins and they came out horrible. They did not blend with my hair due to the extensions being bright pink, when Cheryl was the one to dye my hair looks in the first place. She had 5 clients in the salon at once, we all waiting for her and I was there for 5 hours to do a simple blow out, flat iron and add the extensions. She was texting and talking on the phone with her vet and husband, it was a mess. As result, I missed my plans for the day, I got a parking ticket and I walked out with clip outs falling out my head.Avoid this place at all cost.

My stylist for the last decade moved away so I am a new client of Cheryl's. I couldn't be happier with my experience today. After wearing braids for the last couple months, I was referred to Cheryl for a wash, condition, cut, a braid down and a sew in. She and the salon owner were very pleasant and professional. I'll definitely be returning!

Love love love Denise!!!! She squeezed me in with my difficult schedule, was super accommodating, listened to my vision and executed! She helped bring my curls back to LIFE after I had subjected it to a lot of heat/ sun damage and I couldn't be happier. I already cant wait for my next hair cut :)
