After Three mechanics and $7k in billing and parts, I asked them to leave. Clueless mechanics. United Rentals came out rebooted the computer and I was good to go. Never again.

Seems very over priced. There is a $225 "service charge" in addition to a labor charge (which isn't spelled out what it is hourly anywhere I can find). Then there is also a "misc supplies" charge for $100-$150 (in my case). I guess I wasn't expecting a basic tune up to cost $1600 and repacking of cylinders to cost $2,100.

Terrible customer service. The agent got impatient while I addressing my issue finding the machine mode details and couldn't provide any useful information about time for getting a quote.

I feel as though Cromer Material Handling has been going downhill in the past year or so. In the past they have always had superb customer service. However now I requested a quote a month ago and have gotten a response.

Applied for an outside sales position. Interviewed w/the owner. He even gave me a tour of the place. He tells me he'll send me a 'personality profile' to gauge my competency and leads me to believe he's going to move forward with my candidacy. Never sent me the profile and never heard from him again. I get, I probably did not fit "his profile" for the position (I think he wanted a 'younger employee'/I am 62) but why lie? It made him look like a slimeball? If you're an older applicant, I strongly suggest you take what the owner says with a huge grain of salt.

A 2nd for Jon Nichols. I called him looking for a dock that I could move. I didn't know what I needed, just that I had a problem and was looking for a solution. He said "you need a portable yard ramp". NO ONE, NOT ONE other material handling company in the entire Bay Area even knew the name of these Yard Ramps. Jon knew what I needed and he even has one! Going to be working with him in July for sure. Some day I am going to need a new forklift or racks for our warehouse or something and I am going to go to Cromer for the sole reason that Jon impressed me so much. A company with smart people is SO hard to find today. This is the real deal.
