Beware of this store, its manager, and its management. Before transacting any business at this Cricket Franchise, I asked a lot of questions, and every bit of the conversation was recorded. The manager assisted me, male, 20s-30s, black hair. "Elder" I believe his name is. This was Thanksgiving day. He sold me on one line saying he was certain I would be eligible for the Affordable Connectivity Plan (ACP) for people with low incomes despite my telling him repeatedly that I did was not a beneficiary of any of the government subsidized programs listed in the brochure. I told him under no circumstances was I interested in Cricket's least expensive plan, $30/month and that if I did not get approved for ACP, I would cancel the plan. He responded no problem, I could cancel the $60 plan after one month and not even keep any Cricket plan at all; that sounded great to me. I purchased their Black Friday deal of buying a new iPhone 11 64GB plus the first month for a total of around $350 with the first month's service at $60/month to qualify me for the phone at about half price. The entire time, this manager guaranteed me, and actually filled out all the applications for the ACP for me, that I would qualify for the ACP despite the initial application being denied within minutes. He applied me two more times and I finally got so frustrated, I left.I got home, went online to buy the esim for an annual price of $100 ($8.33 per month) that I would be using instead of the $30 plan I know I would be stuck with. I bought that plan and put in the new iPhone 11's information that is required to get an esim for it. My purchase was rejected because the new iPhone 11 was locked. The Cricket manager misled me. OK, after one month I might not have to continue with either the $60 or $30 plan, but I just wasted $270 for a fully blocked iPhone 11. It is a good thing i looked at the return policy at the store and I have seven (7) days to return purchases in like new condition. I had not even touched the iPhone. But I was severely misled by this manager, almost the entire conversation recorded.I arrive back at the store, and immediately am told that the phone and the plan "are not returnable". This is what will happen to you, or something like it, if you do business at this store. I was auditaping the conversation again, and this time, I told the manager and the other employee that they were being recorded and that the first time I was in during purchase was recorded. No decision change, even after being reminded of their store return policy.I was then told I had to wait, and this was infuriating, because I had been told straight off that what I had just purchased on false pretenses was not returnable against their store policy and that actually in order to return something, it has to be damaged. These are blatant lies. They started speaking in Spanish only and when I asked, refused to speak in English so I could understand. In the end, they said they would take the phone back, but that I would have to pay for the entire $60 month of cell plan. This is against FCC law. I asked for a return receipt for the phone, and was completely ignored, and the manager at that point said something about calling someone about my behavior. At least ten minutes before, I switched to videorecording.It is amazing to me that these store personnel were behaving this way with their return policy being what it was and with their being fully audio- and video-recorded!Nothing but stress and aggravation. I left the store immediately after being ignored after requesting a receipt, just having my video and audio tape and earlier audio tape of objective proof of what my experience was with these thieves.What an incredible waste of time. And that this manager was filling out my application form for ACP that I told him I did not qualify for and that kept getting denied (great job US Government and your fraud detection), I do not know who he thought he was kidding by filling out the forms: it was part of his scam. My girlfriend was working here for about 4 weeks and since the time she was there she told me about the manager always having anger issues. The manager abre grim and aziz are very racist . They don't do nothing at the store but judge and scream . I'm very disappointed. Many people have left this job because of them. Very racist and unprofessional
