The hotel was clean enough. There were face smoosh marks on the bed backboard, but otherwise, it was pretty decent. The valet and front desk were nice. Location is sketch, but it's downtown Oakland, soooo....... you get what you get. Felt safe outside hotel.

Very nice hotel for much less than the surrounding hotels. Rooms were recently updated and a nice lounge to relax after a long day. Will definitely stop back again when in town.Nearby activities: Very close to 12th St City Center Bart station.

I had a great experience here during my stay. The staff was very friendly, great location, and the breakfast/small restaurant on site was nice. Shout out to Justin who works the breakfast - his sandwiches are delicious!I took one star off because the fitness center is really subpar. The free weights are tucked into a corner of a small room, there's only one weight bench, and the layout of the room is bad so you don't really know where to set up. Also, the bathroom is attached to the gym in a bad way. Hard to describe, but you'll know when you see it.

I stayed couple of nights for business trip. The fact that they lock one of the two entrance (accesable with room key) give pretty unsafe location vibe. Partly updated rooms with carpet, sink, lamps, and wallpapers. But old rusty vibe with old fashion light switch, rusty/scratched up elevators, night stands with drawers that does not shut with bibles, rusty door parts and etc. Water preassure in shower is terribly low for long, thick hairs. Thus, it was overpriced. Good service with front desk staffs and friendly housekeeper. Overall experience was ok and would not recommend / prefer to return.

And embarrassing to say I paid over $200 and stayed here literally just for 4 1/2 hours. It’s a shame and a disappointment. The rooms have a very for the ones I was staying in Foul smell

DO NOT STAY HERE!! UNLESS YOU LIKE DISAPPOINTMENT..I was very dissapointed with my experience.. I stayed here for two nights, and would not recommend. My tv/remote did not work, and my shower was clogged, so I could not shower after working a 9 hour shift. I had to take a "bird bath" just to get clean. That should have never been the case if I am paying for a room with basic amenties!! Front desk staff 'James' did not accommodate or offer to move my room at all. Instead offered to have a houseman come in the morning.. So pointless. Front desk also told me that "there was nothing he could do," about my issues with the tv and room issues. He was sooo unhelpful and made me feel like I was crazy! Turns out he was a manager... Even worse, to learn that. The next day the housekeeping manager assisted me, and offered to change my room with everything being functional. The valet man was also super aggressive upon check in, which was weird to me. I should have gotten refunded or issued some points for my stay, which I did not! They just apologized the next day and moved my room. I will probably never stay here again, and if I do, it will be on desperate measures.. I also work at a hotel so I expected my experience to be better than it was. Not to mention the front desk manager who checked me in told me their security deposit was only $50 per night. For some odd reason, they authorized my card for $300 instead of $100. I called about that and asked about why they charged me an extra $200 for the security deposit on the room. No one could answer an question regarding that manner, but could only tell me that it was a pending charge and that it would go back to my card. It did go back on my card eventually, but it was the principle of it all. The lack of professionalism was unreal and I will most likely not go back..

The wheelchair accessible rooms are not truly accessible. No grab bars by toilet and no way to use shower. Also they do not have equitable room types. Only one wheelchair room with 2 beds in the whole big

Right on the BART train line, big comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Friendly staff. My one issue is none of the staff were knowledgeable about the surrounding area so they couldn't direct you to any of the great places around.Rooms: Big room. Comfy bed, well cleanedNearby activities: Musuem, great restaurants and bars, and right on the BART line. Nearby homeless tent citiesSafety: Downtown Oakland next to China town, plenty of businesses and security around. Police Station not far.Walkability: Can walk to water front door great views and dining.Food & drinks: Highly recommend OESTA restaurant and bar. Friday there is a farmers market close by.
