We board our dog for 1-2 weeks off and on. He is always happy and clean when we pick him up. The staff takes great care of him.

our dog loves citizen canine. he gets excited when he sees the building from our car. we take him here for boarding and daycare. we’ve also done the training (dog academy) with them, and appreciated the feedback reports and homework. the staff is very friendly and kind. you can tell they take great care and love the pups.

My dogs love coming to Citizen Canine! The staff is friendly and attentive and I can tell they take good care of the pups. They are also very helpful when I call to ask questions or check on the dogs during their stay. I am very happy to have Citizen Canine nearby for boarding and daycare when needed!

This our first time boarding our very anxious lab-pit at Citizen Canine. Compared to the last place we boarded, I can honestly say there were many differences. This facility is more peaceful and easier to get an anxious pup in and out. We loved the welcome sign with each dog's name on it! The staff seems to sincerely love their job & the pups. They really could not have been more kind and helpful - particularly Pam and Julianna. Our guy returned happy & healthy. CC is pricey, but I have no complaints about the quality of service. They do offer quotes and I suggest you get one before using them so there are no surprises.

Staff is friendly and well organized. Training is excellent (for my 7 month old recently adopted rescue, Daffodil). Juliette always makes time to talk with me about how its going during the day. Daffodil is happy to go in in the morning and happy to see me when I pick her up. Well worth the cost and I know I will be boarding here when I travel.

My 4-month old GSD puppy loves this place. They’re reasonably priced and have good add-on options for treats and baths. My puppy came home tired after daycare from all the play time.

Our pups are older and require a gentle touch and extra care. Citizen Canine treats them with the most exceptional service and we can always check in to see how they are doing. They are top-notch in every facet of the boarding services offered.

We have only good things to say about Citizen Canine! Our standard poodle has participated in the Academy program and currently goes to regular daycare a few times/week. Both are outstanding! We initially didn't think we would do the Academy, but are so glad we did. We had attended other training classes, and our dog came in with the basics. But the attention and excellent further training she received as part of the Academy program was ideal. It also got her out of the house 4 days/week, which was important developmentally because she is an only dog and needed to socialize with more people and other dogs. After the Academy, we were able to transition to regular daycare, which is less individual attention. But from what we can see, there is still lots of love to go around. Another thing we really like about Citizen Canine (Academy and daycare) is that they give dogs time to rest during the day. This is important for doggie health and also to avoid injuries and fights. Everyone we have met at Citizen Canine has been friendly and professional. Although it is a commitment to drive there, since we live in North Berkeley, it has been the best choice for us. Highly recommended!

Great clean and well organized facility run by staff who love dogs. Training was really helpful for my puppy. I like they group dogs by size and temperament for play time. My dog loved going to the training academy and still loves going to daycare. He comes back home calm and well behaved. I would highly recommend.

We were (or at least I was) anxious about boarding our near senior Great Dane here when we went to Europe. We had boarded past dogs here, but not her. Citizen Canine did everything to make Katie and me comfortable and informed. They even checked on her when I called from Europe on a busy, early Sat AM. Worth every penny.

We have been bringing our pup to Citizen Canine for five years and couldn't be happier. She loves coming here and we count on the care and attention she gets. Everyone here knows and loves dogs and the facility is everything we could ask for.
