Schwab has slow transfers, an annoyingly complicated website/app, continually "deauthorizes" Venmo. Also has a slow and complicate fraud claims process, with stuck up associates who don't investigate claims appropriately (fail to review/obtain ATM footage) in a timely manner.

I have been a Schwab client for many years and have mostly done my own investments. I needed help transferring my parents' eleven different stocks into my family's Schwab One Account. Alex Segura, in the Oakland, CA office was professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful with submitting all of the paperwork, including some stock certificates and monitoring the transfer process.

I called the Oakland Schwab office to ask about the complimentary financial plan that's been advertised recently. I was told that to get that complimentary plan you need to have assets of $1 Million or above. That small detail isn't mentioned in any of the advertising, commercials or on the web page. It feels a bit misleading, and a bit like bait and switch, so heads up.
