Edit: Frank from Brooks Motors called about my review and wanted to see if they could make me see them in a better light. It is clear that they value their customers’ opinions, which is something that I respect. Their work is good and they seem to care about their reputation. So up to 4 stars.Leaving original review below for context.************Came for minor body work, replacement of one running board panel and PPF of panel. Estimate was $973.1 week later, price at pickup was almost $1400 (43% increase). Reasons given: original estimate was from someone who said he “was new to this space and that the PPF was the bulk of the increase”. PPF was estimated at $200.Manager said no, he’s not new, and estimates are just estimates and the reason is that prices of parts and labor have changed. Offered $100 off.I argued that a 43% increase is absurd and beyond reasonable overage for an estimate. Negotiated to $1100.One thing that *might* be a factor is wife was originally the one dealing with them.2 stars because they cleaned the car and have mints on the counter.

I took my Tesla Model 3 to this shop and WOW! What excellent service. Terry coordinated my repairs. VERY professional from beginning to end. The desk personnel are kind and welcoming. When other shops were having me make appointments 1-2 weeks out just to give me an estimate, they had me come right by. Terry did a thorough inspection and gave me an estimate the following morning allowing me to get it to my insurance company. They scheduled the repairs and had all the parts ready for the job on my scheduled day. They completed the repair on schedule in 2 weeks. They even went the extra mile and provided me with the application paperwork to reapply for my HOV bumper stickers. They are very experienced with Teslas so if you need repairs to yours, I wouldn't look anywhere else.

Rhett, Percy and Brooks Collision are the GOATs. If you love and care about your car, don't sleep on Brooks. I have a 16 year old 911 and it got hit on the front a few months ago and I was so impressed with their process and the craftsmanship approach to their repairs, that when it got hit in the rear I called brooks and they did the estimate the same day and handled all the insurance work. The car literally looks better after getting into the accidents.

I was disappointed in the customer service that I received from Percy my direct contact and the longevity in the repair. I dropped my car off on the 17th of July for a fender bender, I called on the 21st for an update and they hadn't inspected my car yet. When I dropped my car off it triggered my 30 day car rental, I lost a week with my car sitting at the shop when it was drivable and I could have kept it until they were ready.Every week I had to follow up with Percy, not him contacting me. It always was an excuse for delays or my insurance carrier but I was notified every time a request was approved and completed. Needless to say, my 30 days ran out, my insurance carrier would not extend the rental. Thankfully, I have two vehicles or I would have had to pay for an additional week and a half for a rental. I asked Percy if they had a vehicle for me drive due to the delays and he said no.When I drove up to Brooks I had a bad feeling as there was nowhere to park, there was several cars that needed repairs sitting outside. I usually do not deal with any repair or dealerships in Oakland, because I don't trust them and their customer service is horrible.I usually go to Walnut Creek or Pleasanton and I don't get the BS. Lesson learned, I don't care how many Mercedes, Bentleys, etc. you have sitting in front, always follow and listen to that voice that tells you NO.

I took my Tesla M3 to Brooks Oakland location in June,2023, after doing much research and found out they had a good reputation of doing quality work, the repair was completed in timely manner as promised, they did a great job color matching the original paint and i received the car cleaned and looks great, a month has passed and i discovered a few items that i was not satisfy with , i reached out to Brooks and Frank responded back to me next business day and schedule me to bring the vehicle back to inspect and address my concerns.I scheduled my visit and Frank took care of the problems in less than one hour.I am giving Brooks a big thank you. ( Frank and the team ) for standing behind their work and ensuring all customers are happy.in conclusion i am totally satisfy with my experience with Brooks Motor Cars, and i highly recommend them to anyone who values a business that stands behind their work.

Courteous and professional assistance with my repair. Second time I used Brooks and would do so for any future needs. Left me to feel assured of any concerns to let them know and lifetime warranty on repairs.Services: Painting

Brooks did an excellent job fixing my car. My points of contact were Fernando and Frank, who were readily available to address any of my questions and concerns. Generally, it can take some time for the process to be completed depending on extent of repair needed, but they'll make sure everything is done to OEM standards and flawlessly. I would certainly recommend them and use in future as/if needed.Services: Painting

Five stars for Oakland Brooks Motor Cars! From the first moment I stepped into the office for my estimate, I was greeted with such friendliness and professionalism. After a run-in with a parking garage pillar, the rear right panel of our six-month old Tesla was quite damaged and I was feeling quite anxious. Frank immediately put my mind at ease and explained carefully what would need to be done; and reassured me that it would all be fine! Along the way, both Frank and Terry were extremely helpful and communicative, answering all of my questions about the estimates and dealing with insurance. Finally, I picked up the car on Friday, got to see Frank and Terry, and the car looks like new. They even cleaned it thoroughly inside and out. Hopefully, I won't have any more collisions, but if I do, I will DEFINITELY use Brooks again! Many thanks to all of the staff and crew at Brooks!Services: Body & Trim

I've worked with a lot of body shops in the past and my experience with Brooks Motor Cars was nothing short of AMAZING. First, the service listing does not have auto body work, only painting. We had both done on my husband's Tesla . This place in Oakland is Tesla certified. They did a great job, and everybody was very nice, helpful and professional. It took 3+ weeks to have the car fixed for various reasons.Service: Painting

Here is my opinion about Brooks. So I went to Brooks on Monday, December 5th for an estimate. The estimator told me he would send an estimate the next day. No email the next day. I waited 4 days till Friday the 8th and called. Then they emailed me an estimate that looked like it was rapidly put together and didn't have things like the fender or headlight or fog light on it even though they were clearly damaged. The next day I sent it to my insurance agent and he sent them whatever they need to move forward. That day I got an estimate authorization from Brooks who told me the next available date was January 23. I sent that back on December 13th and asked for the next available date. Then I waited and waited. Nothin. January 20th, over a month after I sent the estimate, I sent a follow-up email. Nothing. On January 31st I sent an email to my insurance agent asking if I could switch to a competent body shop that wants my business. He must have contacted Brooks because an hour and a half later I got a call from them to schedule my appointment. now the next available appointment was February 27th. I drop my car off. I didn't hear a peep from them. No status update or estimated time of completion. March 9th I call and he says the car is almost done and should be ready the next day, a Friday, or on Monday. Great!! I also asked if they had a sublet vendor that could replace my windshield. I gave him the claim number and he said he would call me back that day. Shockingly he didn't call back. Tuesday I called and she didn't seem to know anything about the windshield but she told me the car should be done in the middle of the next week. I asked why the date changed and she said she would talk to the estimator and call me back. LOL. No call of course. On Thursday, March 16th I call and found out we are still waiting on another part that is on backorder. I get the part number and find one locally at the Fremont Tesla service center, I drive to Fremont, buy it, and drop it off Friday morning. I don't blame them for this delay, I know this was out of process and they are at the mercy of Tesla when ordering parts. On the other hand, the estimator should have known this part was damaged, it is directly behind the bumper so any time the bumper is damaged this part will also be damaged. So the part should have been ordered before after I sent the approval back on December 13th. In fact, I specifically asked about this part in my first email and was told that they can't add something to an estimate unless they can see it is damaged. But even though the headlight and foglight were clearly damaged, those weren't on the estimate. It sounds like incompetence to me, but that is just my opinion. I email them back Friday morning to confirm and ask them to update the ETA. Nothing. I call back Monday afternoon at 4:40 pm and it went to Voicemail, didn't bother leaving one. I called back on Wednesday the 22nd and was told that they are still waiting on another part. this would have been good information to know when I was picking up the first part. Again, I don't blame them for the parts availability but I would expect them to know what parts I need. This makes me think that either they are incompetent and didn't tell me all the parts they are waiting for or that they didn't even order the part until after I dropped off the first one. In any case, it really says a lot about their business. I asked for the part number for the other part they needed. The next morning I got an email saying they were able to get the part from another location and that it might be ready the next day, Friday, or early days next week. I called Monday and was told it would be ready Tuesday afternoon. I asked what the hold-up was and was told that they need to calibrate the cameras for Autopilot. I know for a fact that this isn't true, the cameras are self-calibrating using an option on the touchscreen. Then he started listing the parts that were replaced, starting with the tail light. This was strange because it was

I brought my 2018 Tesla 3 to the Oakland shop (near OAK) for repairs of a front end scrape. They fixed everything beautifully, ended up re-aligning the wheels involved on the damaged side, and also were very careful with the inherent computer controls (using a Tesla specialist who came on site to adjust). The result looks more beautiful than new, if one can believe that, and drives better than ever. The job was completed earlier than expected and the attentive staff notified me several times during the process to keep me in the loop. Frank Huff, in particular, was outstanding! Renting a car from nearby Enterprise couldn't be easier (Brooks has a return arrangement that eliminated my needing to go myself to the car rental agency; just left the rental at the body shop). Also, it might as well be a Tesla repair center - there appeared to be a sea of them on the premises - so, inasmuch as experience results in perfection, I think they have this make of car down to a science. There were plenty of luxury vehicles, too, however. But reading the ads might make one infer it was for Ferraris and the like - but they treat you royally even if you drive a more modest car.Services: Body & Trim

Frank and the gang at Brooks took care of my tesla after someone swiped the front while it was parked. They're one busy shop and were scheduling a month out. They did a great job of doing a temp tape job to keep bumper in place so I could still drive to work. Once I got the car in, their communication was great while we waited for some parts from tesla. At the end, they worked overtime to get my car back to me before the rental allowance ran out from my insurance. Looking at the final product, the front end looks factory new.

The best body shop experience I’ve had yet! I came here after an auto accident—needless to say I got nothing but top of the line customer service, communication and updates on the status of my repair. Frank is absolutely friendly, courteous and professional—I’d recommend this body shop for all types of repairs!

When my Porsche Macan Turbo hit a dog on the freeway, I wanted to make sure the car got fixed properly. Brooks Motor Cars repaired my car with OEM parts, and very precise paint matching on the bumper. The car was returned to me with a whole bunch of new front end parts, and although they took longer than I expected, I knew I was getting my Porsche back in a condition even better than pre-accident, so I was okay to wait and let them take their time with the repair. They took care of all of the communications with my insurance company and even reduced my out of pocket bill because the car took so much longer than expected to repair. Now that's EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
