I was “nervous” going in for the first time because of some of the reviews, and definitely went early since it was my first time in the studio…..I loved the (Saturday) class and instructor. Instructor was super encouraging, and went through the steps clearly and in sequence of movements. Front desk person was cool too. Will be back.

The class is fun and uses the muscles I don't normally recognize existing. Not too hard but satisfying.

Zero personality, warmth, or any vibe. Overpriced, cold instructor, cold room. Cardio workout is not cardio if you have even the most basic level of fitness. Also, a disaster waiting to happen. If you've never done this before, do not come to this studio. You are likely to get injured.Also:- you can accomplish a lot of this with bodyweight at home- for the stuff that's unique to the machines - you'd need a lot more positive vibes, engaged instructors, care about orientation - to make it worth the price.

Literally the worst customer service ever. Told me over the phone to come at class at 5:30 and then when I was there said I should have come early and did not let me attend class. Did not know how to refund me so had to wait 30mins for her to figure it out. Wasted my entire evening. Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had at a workout class.

Most of the instructors are amazing and very helpful with form! The classes are always challenging, different, and can focus on different areas of the body. Since it’s a small studio you need to reserve classes in advance or they will be full so plan ahead

i’m not sure why this has such a low star rating. Everyone works here is super nice. The classes are incredible. I’ve been using ClassPass to work out here and my lower back had been hurting and ever since I’ve been taking these classes my lower back is way better and I’m losing weight and getting stronger and I still don’t know how to do all the exercises properly but I feel totally comfortable. I’ve been on a fitness and weight loss plan for two years and I’ve made a huge amount of progress and I’ve worked out at different studios all over the world and with different trainers and all over the bay area where this location is and they have a good thing happening here and I would like to see more five star reviews From people who actually work how many different gems and can see that this one is awesome:)

Love this place! No complaints..., very good workout and a variety of instructors. Parking can be a challenge some days but overall, i like the studio!

Love love love this gym! One month in and I feel my body getting so much stronger. I love the classes and love the easy booking system online. I have not had any issues getting the classes I want when I want them even though they are often fairly full. I love Sonialena's classes on Tuesday morning. This has definitely been a step up from my previous Pilates gym.

The workout was okay, but the instructor was not very friendly. No one greeted me to the class or attempted any type of interaction. Definitely disappointed.

Good classes. No amenities...not even a water cooler.

I started taking classes here a year ago and I've fallen in love ever since. After my first month I decided to commit to a monthly membership and it's been one of the best decisions I've made for my physical health. I feel so strong in my body and I can see the physical changes that these workouts have made on me. I take classes at this location and also in Berkeley. The studios are always clean and all of the staff have been warm and friendly. Some of my favorite instructors include: Iyanna, Anisa, Vanessa, Shannon, and Caroline. The front desk staff, especially Elizabeth, are all phenomenal! I highly recommend you give Bodyrok a chance if you haven't already :)

I love BodyRok! I started off with purchasing a package deal, end of last year and have been a fan ever since. Based on comments I’ve read here, I do agree that class moves fast and can be intimidating at first, which is why it’s good to not give up after the first class. Come back and you’ll get the hang of it. The pace is fast but you get such a great workout in 40 minutes, which means more time living life and running errands, etc. The more you go, you’ll also find an instructor whose style you enjoy the most. I appreciate the no show or late cancellation fee, because even with the cancellation fee instated, there are classes with empty reformers because of no shows. I personally have benefited from cancellations and been able to squeeze in a workout, so I’m grateful these rules motivate folks to cancel in time, rather than no show and take up a spot someone else might have benefited from. I am a fan, and find that though taking classes as such studios is not cheap, it is worth it.

My first class. There was zero time to orient this newcomer to the machine. Which has lots of parts and the instructor was referencing these throughout the class. I managed to speak with her for 30 seconds between classes to tell her about a few physical limitations. She got it but couldn’t pay attention to my issues at all during class. Too many students/instructor. Lots of people appeared lost during class. Twice I was using a different position than what she instructed. She never noticed. I’m a veteran of workout classes. I’ve taken them all since Jane Fonda time back in the day. I’ll go back because it’s a good workout for someone with injuries, it’s close to my house and I’ve paid for a group of classes. This instructor was really harried. And the set up didn’t help her.The studio is small but she used a microphone anyway which echos off the walls and mirrors. It’s hard to understand what she’s saying. That could be because the synthesized music is blaring as if we were doing aerobics in a stadium. Pilates is a targeted, deep, slow workout. Music to match would have been nice. It’s a really healthy workout but you can get hurt if you don’t know how to use the Reformer machine. Maybe best to ask for a private class before heading to group classes since they have no time to orient new people.Lastly, rhis place has zero vibe. Show up, workout, leave. Do not pass Go. Do not try to chat with the nice but busy receptionist,, don’t collect anything but your own belongings. Rinse repeat

Not very accommodating. I booked the Berkeley location and they wouldn’t help switch locations and even though they had space wouldn’t let me workout at the current location.

Signed up for their monthly trial membership which allows you to take 1 class a day. After 3 straight days, I've decided to give my body some rest time and recovery! Very sore from the workouts. I definitely feel it in my core. I like using the pulley system and the fact that you work out many body parts in 45 minutes! It's good to get to class a little earlier to stretch and stake out a machine. Nice cubby lockers in front that lock.
