“This place deserves 10 stars. My q60 was stolen and wrecked. Insurance company tried quoting me for used or aftermarket parts to paint and repair. Took it to this place and the guy Adam went to bat behind me against the insurance company and got us all new oem parts. As well pulling some string and getting the oem parts fast. Plus threw in a bunch of extra touch ups for no additional charge. Can honestly say my car was returned looking and feeling better then before it was stolen. Never once asked for anything in return. Genuinely satisfied ! 10⭐️s for sure.”

“Truly excellent customer service from all the people who work there. My car broke down outside their shop, and not only did they push it down the block, into their garage, and diagnose it (engine failure) they were SO kind and accommodating while I tried to get it sold and/or towed. They were incredibly patient with me while I worked out what to do and even helped me get everything done to get the car signed over to the new buyer even though they knew they were only collecting the diagnostic fee from me. I'm beyond impressed and will definitely return!”
“Angelica and Alfonso are great family team that took care of my bumper problem. A few other mechanics told me I had to order a new bumper but these guys dealt with the issue perfectly and they even patched up some dings with their paint without me asking for it. They straightened part of the bumper that was bent as well. They repaired my work vehicle Honda Fit so well that it’s going to be ready for more years to come although it’s old!Their repair looks great and firm, and I’m perfectly happy with their response time to reasonable fee for such great job.When I have another issue I’ll definitely go back. Plus I love supporting small local business in Oakland. “Stop looking at other places - this is where you want to go. Single woman, being quoted $2k by other places, fully expecting to be overcharged wherever I go. I pull in here last week and the guy is so chill, does some work and dots some paint on and tells me to buy the part needed myself to save money and come back with it. I did that today and it's installed and he asked for less than 5% of what others were quoting. AND my friend got to play on their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle vintage arcade machine while we waited which made his day. Will be recommending to everyone.”
“Unfortunately, I have needed body work done on my cars three or four times over the past few years. A couple of times I had to pay out of pocket for repairs. Fortunately, I know thatTranStar Auto Body Shop (Phat Tran) provides just the service you need. Phat is very personable and efficient. His prices are fair. He is knowledgeable and you can tell that he knows what he is talking about. I needed to have the side view mirror replaced. In addition, in the last few years the 2016 Altima had picked up dents and scratches and was looking pretty ratty. When Phat was done, the car looked bright and shiny. This was not a one-time thing. If you go to TranStar Auto Body Shop, you can expect superior work. If I could give 10 stars, I would.”

“I don’t know about what they were doin 7-8 years ago but I took my 79 Chevy to them because way before I went to them I heard nothing but good things about that shop , they got my car done in 2 1/2 months with all bodywork complete . I end up not liking the final color and decided to change the complete color and they were cool with that , I bought another paint kit and they had the car done again within another 3 weeks ? ??? never heard nothing bad about that shop but they might be a lil expensive lol ✅”

“I had a tricky electrical issue, on this complicated newfangled 21st century vehicle, and had done all I could myself. I lucked into finding this shop of top SAE certified, no nonsense pro, master mechanics. I was convinced to bring the car in after I talked to Bruce the business's chief mechanic and owner on the phone. I asked him if he had ever came across such "a weird problem as mine?" and "How much?"
He simply said right away, "After forty years in the trade, (and in the same location, too), "there's nothing we haven't seen!"
Very busy, old school shop, but very up to date. Like a car repair factory, fast and efficient, with the know how of long experience, like me! They take pride in their operation, and their persistence is proof. By the way the price was something even I could afford, because of it's value, efficiency, with right the first time accuracy.
I feel very fortunate to find this shop, and I give it my highest possible rating.”

“Y'all. We know that having car issues is never fun. But Carlos and Patty at OCC made the entire process manageable and pleasant. I had to get a tire, strut, and suspension replaced, and Patty did a fantastic job walking me through the entire process and keeping me updated via phone. Patty made it her priority to make sure I knew what was going on with my car, and she was so approachable. I felt like she really looked out for me. Carlos was out of the office, but I ended up meeting him since my situation took ~3 weeks. Their business is family-run/owned and they're local residents of Oakland too! Their body shop is legit, hooked up with security cameras and on the corner of 10th/5th, so you can't miss it! On the day I picked up my car, there was a hiccup where I they forgot to do a final diagnostic run. But no sweat! Carlos hooked me up, ordered the remaining parts that were necessary, and got my car fully fixed up in 4 hours! SAME DAY! He even dropped me and picked me up from my place so I didn't have to wait in the shop (although that couch they have is pretty comfy). Carlos, thanks for also cleaning up my engine...that was totally out of the goodness of his heart. I believe they also buffed my car and washed it up because when it was sitting in the tow yard, it did not look that shiny and clean. Patty and Carlos are transparent and genuine Oaktown folks. I would 1000% send my Prius back for future repairs. They really do a good job, are thorough, and try their best to communicate when they say they do. Support your local body shop, they're women-owned and BIPOC-run. If you're looking to get your car fixed, tell your insurance you're going to OCC.”
