This shop is amazing. Simply amazing. I have been a customer for nearly 10 years. They are skilled, always professional, and at an extremely reasonable price point. They consistently over deliver.
What makes this shop truly exceptional is their customer service. They approach tailoring as a "craft" and not simply a service. This is rare in today's world. I would travel great distances to give them my business, and you should too. Fortunately they are local in the East Bay!

Anatoly's is awesome. I needed clothes for a fancy dinner party the next day. They measured me up, pulled together a couple different options that I tried on. They hemmed the pants, added some buttons to the shirt, pressed them both in just a couple of hours. The party was great and I looked fantastic.

What a great shop this is! I was shirt shopping and they really went out of their way to help me. In the end, because I was under time pressure, I bought a shirt elsewhere and Anatoly was helpful getting the sleeves corrected for me for a very reasonable price. Next time I need a new dress shirt for my performing, I will make a trip to them and get one custom made!

10/10 would recommend. Have had multiple items altered including wedding suit, overcoat, blazers - all alterations came out perfect. Easy to book appointments, they will text you when items are ready for pick-up.

As good as Saks, Neiman Marcus, and Bloomingdale’s. Of course, these three department stores do a great job with their tailoring, but go local here in Oakland and look as good. I love the service, friendliness, communication, and overall good vibes of this tailor SHOP.

Anatoly & Sons, especially Kay & Gabe with whom I worked most closely during the process of getting a suit for my recent wedding, exceeded every expectation. They were very communicative at every step of the process, worked tirelessly through some difficulties with their suppliers, and went above and beyond to deliver the greatest-looking suit I will probably ever own.

Amazing service and also a nice shop. I brought in my dress pants for same-day alteration and now it fits even better and will be feeling good for the holiday parties. Anatoly's was quick to take care of what I needed. I will be back to tailor my suit jacket and my tuxedo!

I've been going to Anatoly's since 2019. I've mostly brought them skirts and dresses from India, along with the occasional American dress.Even though the clothing I bring in can sometimes be challenging, they have always delivered (and even saved a too small dress for my daughter). I have mostly worked with K, and he is always kind, offers good advice, and has helped me rush orders when needed. He has also been taking my measurements for the dresses that I order from Indian for two years now, dresses he knows very little about, and it always seems to work out. K, your service has kept me returning as a customer.A few weeks ago, I scheduled a measurement appointment, assuming K would know what I needed. I came in with a list of measurements that I needed from my dressmaker. But K wasn't there. I watched an older tailor who I believe is Anatoly argue with the young man directing customers about not wanting to take my measurements, in English and another language. The tailor sounded frustrated as he explained to me that he can't measure me because I didn't have the dress with me (it hadn't been made but i had a photo of a similar one), because their shop was not making the dress, and because I didn't know the specific measurements that I needed (I did and had already showed him). I'm not sure if he realized that I planned on bringing the dress to him to tailor, like I always do. It was a bit unclear what he was saying to me, but I believe he said that he didn't want to be blamed if my dress was messed up. I assured him that I wouldn't, that K gave me the same warning for measurements.Then he proceeded to angrily and quickly take my measurements, talking loudly about how it was a waste of his time and complaining more that I was there. He measured my waist around my hips and I had to ask him to do it again, he didn't even seem to notice. My bust was measured incorrectly, and it had to be remeasured afterwards by someone not from Anatoly's. It's such a small shop, and he was complaining about me so loudly while measuring me that other customers stared. I felt berated and shamed for coming to a business that I have supported for years and asking them to do what they had done for me many times. I was charged for the bad measurements (I have no problem paying for measurements, but they do have to be accurate), and he walked away without so much as a goodbye.I know that K would have smoothed things over for me if he had been there. But the damage has been done. I live with PTSD, and the way Anatoly treated me ensured that I won't feel safe in there again. They probably won't miss my business and that's ok. I wish them the best. I also wish that the business would take some public accountability for his behavior, instead of responding with defensiveness and gaslighting the customer's experience. I'm not the only reviewer online that has dealt with his anger or rudeness.

Great place for a custom suit! My cousin recommended this shop to us after going for his wedding. Both my brother in law and I went here for our wedding suits. They have an abundance of fabric. And can customize to the slightest detail. Highly recommend.
