I will say that they are way over priced! And watch out for the older short guy because he will ramble out a total and add his own tip out of your hard earned cash! I've caught on to it a few times so pay close attention to what you pay and what your charged! I bet he goes home at night with a few extra hundred dollars that he ripped us off for, he tried this with my son when he stopped to grab a snack after school and I had to go up and get on him. I'll record next time I go in and post it right here and on nextdoor if he doesn't stop. Potential law suit.

Came to pick up some local honey and Filet mignon when I was completely ignored by the butcher. He was so kind and welcoming to a customer who came in AFTER me. He told her how great the salmon was today and she graciously said " when it is my turn I will gladly get some." As I stood there 6 ft tall staring at him he still chose not to acknowledge me. The Sweet light skinned lady with red hair smiled and looked at me to order something....I looked at her smiled and then looked again at the Bucher( 2 PM..).still no acknowledgement so I told the lady he still has not asked if he can help me so I will buy my steaks some where else. I will buy the local honey at the farmers market. The cashier was very pleasant but I will not be back. RUDE

One of the best places left in Castro valley being ruined by one of the worst employees. The old man that works at night that has the mustache and wears the silly straw hat decides when he wants to close. It says online they close at 8pm but if you show up at 755pm and he decides he wants to close early then you're screwed. All the younger people were looking at the time on their phones telling him it's not 8 yet and he has his back to the door telling them to tell me to go away. He's so much of a p**** he can't even explain it himself that he's shutting the place down 5 minutes early. Puts the employees in an awkward situation because they know they're supposed to be open until 8 but he doesn't care. This is the guy with a mustache, goofy straw hat and a Hawaiian shirt is what he usually wears. Spends his time talking to people about pointless things like the meat he BBQed or his nieces cousins dogs birthday. Nobody cares dude. Do your job. Jesus.

A small family just got the store 4 months ago They have just turned it to a half smoke shop and half grocery it had what ever u need for home bread vegetables milk all kind of snacks this new family that mange this store are really lovely people
