I love going here for hard to find products. He has the best shea butter, mango butter and even carries shea oil. All the hair and body products you are looking for, found here.

I walk by this shop all the time and decided it was time to visit. The shopkeeper is a charming and helpful person. He let me go for an olfactory journey, which was such a treat. With COVID and all, I miss smelling things in shops, but this worked out since the shop is so small. I stood in the doorway and he let me sniff almost everything on the shelf and was happy to do it. He also talked about the shea butters and other kinds of butter and showed me his luminous, glistening hands to demonstrate the efficacy of shea butter. There were CDs of all sorts of African and island music, garments in bright colors, various toiletries and teas and so on. There was a lot packed into that tiny store. I did get some red African musk fragrance and it takes me back to my hippie days where I'd hang out with friends who wore fragrances and used incense. I think I will go back and try some shea butter soaps in the future.

Sam the man. He is really helpful in understanding what you actually want. Generally he has other items comparable to the ones you think you want. I like this store...neat, organized and friendly. Thank Sam for your help.

Love this shop! It's been in the Dimond District for years. I really hope he's not booted out like other small valuable businesses in Oakland. Sam is so helpful everytime I visit, and is always smiling. My favorite oil is Black Coconut, and he was out a couple weeks ago, but I still ended up buying three other oils...lol. I left my information to be contacted when it came in and he texted me a few days ago to let me know it was in! He's open most days, except Sunday. I asked my dad to pick up my oil, but also because I know once he goes in the Sam's shop he too will be a happy customer.

The proprietor was very helpful. He explained the difference between the various types of shea butter that he carries and he made recommendations based on my needs. He was so knowledgeable - I really appreciated him.

Sam, the shop owner, is friendly and offers a variety of products from cosmetics to CDs, to jewelry. He has an eye for products that people want and offers great product knowledge and advice. I frequent this shop for hair products and essential oils. The location is convenient and welcoming.
