I'm not an AAA member but I needed an international driver's license (required to rent a car in some countries) and the state department website indicated that AAA is where those are issued. I called the number listed for this branch on the website and couldn't find the right menu option so just pressed 0. A woman answered right away (it might have gone straight to her personal line?) and told me that no reservation is required for this service. When I arrived they took my name and there was only a very short wait before I was helped, everything went very smoothly. I went back one more time for an unrelated reason and once again found everyone very helpful and friendly. Thank you!

I recently purchased a vehicle and needed to get it registered so I utilized my membership benefit and made an appointment on line for their DMV services. I was kept up to date via text and when I arrived to the branch for my appoint, it was easy peasy. I walked in and told the front desk that I had an appointment and was asked to take a seat while they informed the folks that I had arrived. I waited about 3 mins before I was called up to the counter, completed a couple of signatures and was done. I anticipated the visit to be longer, but I was done within 15 mins. I was very satisfied with the service here.

Whenever I need AAA services, I feel like to go to Rockridge Oakland location even though I had moved away from the location. It's still safe and comfortable relatively. I love their vive and services. Thanks for your efforts.

Does it make sense to own a car without a AAA membership?
This has been our AAA since they tore down the restaurant overlooking the lake and AAA moved from the old location at Mosswood Park. I do not know why they moved, that location was fine and convenient. The current one has its advantages being next to shopping and food but is still crowed into the strip mall shape and feel in many ways.
This service at this branch has always been #1
It is worth the price of a AAA membership to use their DMV services instead of going into the real DMV. I wish that they could do driver's licenses.
In the days of paper maps they were great and when it comes to trip planning, they are still great.
My last visit I needed to replace my GEICO insurance in a hurry and they helped me with that on the spot, when GEICO would not even take a phone call.

We have a vacation coming up and will end up in Miami. This will be our first time there and we need to figure out how much time we want to spend there as well as where to stay before we book the airfare. We know that we need to keep it at no longer than 6 nights in an effort to control costs and also so our dog won't think that she's been abandoned. We dropped into this AAA office to see what they might have in the way of maps. The woman who was greeting clients and directing them where to go for assistance told us to have a seat and she would be right with us. I regret that I failed to ask her name. Her customer service with us and interactions that we saw with other members was exemplary. She took the time to understand exactly what we wanted, brought over a couple of other maps that she thought might be useful to us and engaged a co-worker to look in "the back" to see if it might be in stock. She also offered to order what we wanted if we wouldn't mind waiting for a couple of weeks for the order to arrive. Such quality of service is such a rarity anymore. Very refreshing to see!

A great branch , plenty of parking in the area , knowledgeable and friendly staff ! I didn't make an appointment however my wait time was not bad at all !

Spent all morning here, then was asked to come back in the afternoon after a smog check. An appointment and we came back an hour earlier than the appointment because we got what we needed to be done early and got called in for work. They wouldn't accommodate us and we watched every walk-in getting serviced after us....
