I've probably been to a dozen 24s in the bay area and LA and this might be the best one. I don't have to put my towel over my mouth and nose while using the restroom like the ones in San Jose. Possibly the best selection of equipment. Hoist leg press, selectable hammer strength chest machines, selectable squat machine. Only glaring omission is a hack squat.

They say that on Sundays they close at 11pm and close at 9pm and the people are very arrogant.

This place has decent equipment but it’s usually dirty, and they let people blast their own music from portable speakers. I’ve already cancelled my membership and am switching to the YMCA.

I used to go to this gym but now mostly go to the 24 Hour Fitness locations in San Leandro and Castro Valley. I don’t think they take cleanliness seriously at this gym, and for that reason, I’m not comfortable there. I was on the rower and it was just plain filthy. Doesn’t anyone care? I like to use their pool, so I hope they start getting it together.

Don't go here. Someone stole my bag with basically my whole life in it from the locker room. I asked the girl at the front desk if she could show me the camera footage, she said no. Was completely umempathetic. She didn't apologize or help at all. I am cancelling my membership as a result.

Dingy gym with constantly broken equipment. I had to try five different treadmills the other day before I found one that worked properly. Sanitation-wise, it's not great. Pretty sure you'll get a lung fungus if you breathe at all while in the poorly ventilated locker room. The rolling tumbleweed of (pubic?) hair I saw in the men's restroom area the other day didn't help the overall unsanitary vibe. Also not helping is that the paper towel and hand sanitizer dispensers are frequently broken or empty. I honestly feel super gross every time I leave the premises. It'd also be great if the staff did something to encourage or enforce good patron etiquette. Seems like there's always someone sitting on a machine, not using it. When you ask if they're done, they invariably say "one more set", then go back to messing with their phones once you walk away. I often get frustrated and quit my workout early because the machines can be so jammed up during busy hours. I hate that this is the nearest gym to my residence. Just awful.

I deeply appreciate the proximity of this gym to my residence, which allows for a seamless and convenient workout experience. However, regrettably, there is a subset of individuals who frequent this establishment that displays less than desirable behavior. I must emphasize that this does not pertain to all patrons, but some do leave a negative impression.Located in an industrial sector of the city, the gym finds itself encircled by a less picturesque environment, with the presence of homeless individuals and abandoned vehicles adding to the less-than-ideal ambiance.Though the gym may not epitomize an idyllic space for stress relief, it remains our only viable option in the vicinity. With a glimmer of optimism, I express my fervent hope that the management will earnestly endeavor to enhance the upkeep of the exercise equipment, which, to their credit, has exhibited slight improvement thus far this year. May this upward trend persist and elevate the overall experience for the benefit of all its dedicated patrons.

June 2023 by Lynn T.
Unbelievably rude manager (Kaylee) and staff (Brian). I never seen any manager who glowers at customers as if she makes mincemeat of them. And staff scolded customer "she's mad". A few weeks ago, I called customer service to end my membership in the end of June. Since I planned to continue with the gym in summer 2024, the guy on the phone suggested that he could froze my acct until I go back instead of canceling it. And I agreed that. Then I came here today on 06/13/23. I cannot check-in. Staff said my account was frozen, and I had to pay $23 to unfroze it and to use the the gym. I asked why had to pay $23 while I had already paid for my membership until the end of June 2023. After a while arguing with him, the manager came with a very unpleasant attitude and looked at me like I was the one causing troubles. I decided to CANCEL my membership here. While I just wanted to know why I had to pay $23, she kept saying "I will tell you when your last day" without explaining anything. And it turns out I don't have to pay $23. Guys, I did not want to cancel my plan in the first place but you handled it too poorly. Hope the owner works with his staffs...

The 24 hour corporate management in the East Bay discriminates against seniors. At the Moraga facility, they’ve shut down all of the classes aimed at seniors. When talking to the staff there all they say is that corporate is responsible and there’s nothing they can do about it. It’s unconscionable to single out a certain group. I have a membership that I will not be renewing.

The employees are very young and impatient and rushes the customers out of the gym when closing time when truly there is not supposed to be a closing time because it's called 24-hour gym but when they do get ready to go at 11 and this is the in Oakland California they are very rude and impatient and English is out with customers I feel that they should at least give the customer time to shower do to them not being a whole 24 hours only 12 hours of gym
