We brought our dog here after he wasn't getting better from previous vet care from another clinic. Since we travel for work we've seen different vets around the country, by far this is the BEST clinic. The love and care for our dogs has been amazing. We will miss this place as we continue our work travels.

Dr. Ned and all of the vets at Oakdale Veterinary Group are excellent and I have 100% confidence that my pup was in the best hands and they truly care! My 8.5 year old female Shepard-mix had TPLO surgery and is now completely healed and back to being herself! I cannot thank them enough! I was given an incorrect diagnosis of my pup’s condition as a neurological disease from a local vet but she just had a torn ACL. I made the drive from the Bay Area to Oakdale for the surgery, and for all of the follow up care which was all included in the cost of the surgery which is unheard of with Bay Area vets and worth the drive!!! But I choose OVG because they provide exceptional veterinary care!!!! Dr. Ned clearly explained what to expect with a TPLO surgery and the staff sent me a picture of my pup later that evening to let me know she was doing fine post surgery. Now after her healing period, she is healthy and walking/ trotting and enjoying her favorite activities! I will be making future appointments for routine care for Piper at OVG because I simply trust them with the continued health and well-being of my beloved pup!

Exceptional place. Shay, the surgical coordinator, is someone I can 100% say is dedicated to her job. She was able to fit us in for a medical emergency but due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to choose to humanely put my boy to sleep. But OVG (especially Shay and Dr. Ned) were so kind to us. They gave us time with our dog before and after and explained everything to us realistically and with kindness. They didn’t further traumatize us by treating us like just another client, but treated us with respect when we had to go through something awful. Their care went way above my expectations and I will definitely return in the future.

THIS PLACE IS WONDERFUL! This place deserves all the stars plus more, they truly are amazing! All to say if you're looking for a vet that genuinely cares and loves animals, THIS is it. My dog was diagnosed with bilateral TPLO tears by his original vet. Of course, the best plan of care was to get surgery. I looked all over northern California I’ve probably called about 20 different places. But something about talking to the staff here just right off the bat, I got a warm greeting and got all my questions answered with one phone call. If you're anything like me, I will do anything and everything for my furbaby. I would go to ends of the earth for my dog. I've been very hesitant and anxious taking my dog to vet because he's a giant anxious furball. So the thought of even going through with surgery was a very scary thought for me.
I've tried many other vets in my area, all whom lacked patience with my dog. In other words the other places, just labeled him excessively aggressive, instead of taking the time to let him get used to them, because he is anything but that. This vet and his staff are so wonderful and were so accommodating to me and my Max. They took all the necessary steps to ensure not only Max, but I was comfortable as well. I was thoroughly listened to and all my concerns were addressed.
The entire team here, provided an unparalleled level of care and professionalism that truly exceeded all my expectations.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and kindness. The reception staff was incredibly attentive and compassionate, immediately putting both me and my pet at ease. Their friendly demeanor and genuine concern for our well-being set the tone for what would become an exemplary experience.
The veterinary surgeons and medical team were nothing short of phenomenal. They took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, ensuring I understood every step and felt confident in the care my pet would receive. Their expertise and attention to detail were evident, and I knew that my furbaby was in the best possible hands. The aftercare instructions were clear and comprehensive, and the team made sure I felt comfortable with the next steps in my pet’s recovery. They followed up with phone calls to check on my pet’s progress, showing a level of dedication and care that is truly commendable.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care my furry bestfriend received. If you are looking for a veterinary clinic that goes above and beyond in every aspect of care, look no further. They have earned my highest recommendation and deepest appreciation. Thank you, Dr. Ned!

We took our 4.5-year-old family dog here for TPLO surgery in March. From the start, staff were caring, informative, attentive, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that we had full understanding of the surgery, the healing process, and what kinds of follow-ups and outcomes to expect. At no time did we feel rushed, like staff and the doctors weren't listening to us, or that our feelings and concerns weren't valid - it was the warmest of experiences for something that could have been deeply traumatic to both us and our dog. We can't emphasize enough the skill and care that our dog was given, and today she's received a fully-recovered clean bill of health and is able to again enjoy being a dog with the majority of her life still ahead of her. Also, the new building is a literal palace of veterinary science, and it is clean and offers a lot of pet-centric amenities. Thank you OVG, from all of us - we only wish you were close enough to where we live to make you our regular vet!

Tried to book a consultation for TPLO surgery and they demanded $250 upfront to schedule an appointment. Never heard of such a thing. He may be the best Vet ever, but I don't pay for services not rendered yet. Nobody else mentioned this on their review, but I am wholly disappointed. If for any reason we couldn't come after 72 hours, the money would be gone. Outrageous.

The front desk staff, the assistants and Doctor were all very understanding, helpful, professional and friendly.

Front desk staff is super friendly, as well as all of the other staff. The Dr was quick and gentle with my very nervous cat. The techs were also very compassionate and very quick giving vaccines. I arrived a little early and they were able to see me right away. Service is also affordable compared to others. Very impressed!

This is the absolute best vets office I’ve ever been to. They were completely amazing. From the receptionist to both assistants we talked to to the vet herself we absolutely loved them all. We had an emergency with one of our kitty babies and they were great to him and us. They were quick to get him in same day to and didn’t charge an outrageous amount of money for our emergency. They didn’t recommend anything unnecessary and listened to what we had to say and were very understanding. I work in pediatric dentistry as a manager and a dental assistant and I know dealing with that patients and their parents can be stressful at times but I felt like the treated us and our baby exactly how I treat my patients and their parents. They were perfect. They will be seeing us again as we now plan to bring all our pets there from now on.

OVG staff from the front reception area to the Vet Techs and especially Dr. Ned are by far the best veterinary group in the area. No one compares. Our Yorkie Scooter had reconstruction knee surgery and was treated like a little king. He is now better than before. Everyone was caring, compassionate and he received excellent care before, during and post surgery. We couldn't be happier with his results. If you have pets OVG is the place to go...

Called to ask a question regarding a Parvo shot and the lady that answered was extremely rude. Im a new dog owner so im unaware of some things, she seemed to be annoyed and was being smart with me. I called a different veterinary hospital and asked the same exact question and they were super nice and helpful and guided me on what i needed to do.
