“I first came to Second Church of Christ Scientist in Ventura in 2009, when my former church - First Church of Christ Scientist, Oxnard - merged with Second Church. At first, I was not too enthusiastic about going to a new church, and I wanted to leave Second Church. But over the years, the Ventura church has been like a family to me - I don't think you could find a nicer group of people anywhere else.”

“Very nice new cabins with air conditioning. There are lots of large oak trees that provide shade. There was a variety of food choices at meals which was great for the kids. The food that was made from scratch was very good. There were a few stings from the pesky yellow jackets but overall our group had a great experience.”
