March 2024 by Lynnette F.
This review is based solely on my experience as someone who was told US Bank sent me a check on February 28, 2024, and that it would arrive by March 6, 2024. After several weeks of being told it was the snail mail (I have informed delivery) and that it's still floating around out there because it was not cashed, I suspected the person was not being truthful. I was then told I could pick it up at the branch. I was then told they wouldn't have it ready that day. I never got the check in the mail. I went to the branch on Monday, March 18, 2024. I spoke with the branch manager, Bruce. He gave me some information that the person who initiated this transaction told him. This information was surprising, and then Bruce assured me that one of his employees was hand delivering the check to my residence. He took my number and called me within an hour to confirm the check had been dropped off at my home. This is NOT my bank, but to have a bank HAND deliver a check to someone you owe money to is top-notch customer service!! Would I bank here? No, but if you need a bank that will run an errand for you instead of doing an electronic transfer or showing proof that they sent a check by mail, this is your bank. 5 stars for Bruce, 3 stars for the entire 21 day fiasco.

The ATM is broken. My card was stuck, and I tried to get the tellers attention. She was doing her best to ignore me. I went inside, and she gave me a bunch of ridiculous and unnecessary comments, "it worked 5 minutes ago:" "call your bank;" "we have nothing to do with the ATM...." anything to make me go away and nothing to help. The machine didn't give me the money, but debited my account for a substantial sum. This ATM is the US Bank ATM. The worst customer service - ever.At some point, I asked why they were not putting a sign on the machine, that it is broken. The reply, "it was working earlier today." Could they care less.

Very professional, efficient and friendly staff. If I lived in Novato and was able to come to this location often I would be that much happier.

We had just signed papers on the purchase of our house and I raced over to this branch to make a wire transfer payment. I arrived ten minutes before closing time and felt like I was doing well time-wise. When I walked in there was absolutely no one at the teller's windows and it took a few moments to find someone in one of the offices. He told me he would get someone and went into the back. Well, I waited and waited and now it was five minutes until closing. The woman (Adrienne? Begins with an "A") finally came out and she asked me what I needed. When I told her I wanted to do a wire transfer, she literally rolled her eyes and, obviously annoyed, she directed me to her desk. It was so obvious that she felt put out and so I pointed out that I had been standing there for five minutes waiting and waiting. Rather poor customer service!

Marjorie Alexander is awesome. She just spent a whole hour with me, patiently helping me notarize some 80 documents. She is absolutely delightful and positive. She’s an incredible asset and a gem for US Bank. Every touch point that I have with this US Bank is outstanding. What a great culture represented through people like Marjorie. Thank you

I know how important of compliance is, but when the time that they are over doing on compliance is wrong. When my wife setup her account base on my research and recommendations, we set up the account which allow me to have full access as her POA. So when I called the bank's customers services the rep has identified me but still needed to talk to my wife even the rep did saw my name as poa. After I told the rep that she need interpreter as soon as she transfer me to pacific interpreter that rep hang up. Second incident, when I behalf of my wife to open up an cd account with the manger without problem with the same access. But when I needed to close this account and specific that the title of the check will pay to my wife account no difference they require me to visit the branch. Still the same manger but did not ammit that the account setup wrong and doesn't really want to Apologize. Btw the 1st incident related to that account as well. I have talked to my friends whom also have account with that branch has experience the same as well. Nice work to burn your bridges.

Earlier this week, my husband stopped by the branch on Grant Avenue to discuss an issue. It was resolved quickly, and a representative from the bank even took the extra step to call us at home to confirm everything was okay. I appreciate that, and will continue to do business with them!

Update to below: Had to drive from Larkspur to the branch to show them my receipt, 45 min to/from to get this done. Show up to the teller helping me, system is down, and she has to get Otto to credit my account. In the meantime, Otto is chatting up a storm outside. The teller is about to walk out to get Otto, stops, and proceeds to ask the customer behind me in line how she can help her. Really???! You have yet to help me, how can you ask the customer behind me if they need help! I walked out to Otto just still chatting up a personal conversation outside. Total lack of care .... ------------ Interesting that they wait until you file a claim for cash gone missing in an ATM machine and make zero effort in finding its owner. First your told to call the 855 number, they tell you to call the branch, the branch tells you to call the 855 number - and now I'm being told I personally have to go into the branch to show them my receipt THEN they will file a claim. In the meantime, someone has my money. BOTTOM LINE - Do not deposit cash using this machine. So far, twice I've done so both with machine malfunctions. First time, it returned my money. Second time, it did not and now I'm out the cash as the phone number provided on the malfunction receipt couldn't help me and referred me to call the local branch. The local branch obviously they haven't "claimed" it and is now looking for it. First time I called the branch - I'm left on hold for 15 minutes. I hang up, call again and get someone else who attempts to help me but basically tells me he needs to call the number who referred me to call the local branch. Just one big circle. Extremely frustrating. Odd that cash goes missing and no employee has claimed it in the machine. I would think they balance those ATMs at least once within a 18 hour time frame. It's a hit and miss when I go to this branch, there is one lady who is always nice and friendly, and the last gentlemen who helped me (either he is new or doesn't often works the front (I didn't recognize him) was very helpful. The one star goes to them, the lack of 4 stars goes to my missing cash.

Never been a customer, but I love that they do not charge extra for withdrawal from my BOM account at their convenient ATM machine.

Usually I just go here for the atm if I know I'm needing a few bucks where cash is handy. Today, I had some checks to deposit (I know, a total rarity!!). The cashier was very kind and sweet. She showed a lot of interest in how my day was and if I had any weekend plans. I liked that additional touch. Customer service is really what makes people come back. If I have a check I need to deposit in the future, for sure this will be the place.

I have been banking with U.S. Bank for years they are great for personal and business and I've got great relationships with the office and teller staff The technology is not as cutting edges of other banks but the banking services are better
