The Novato branch of Umpqua struggles constantly to keep employees and the employees they do have are inadequately trained. For the longest time last year, they actually closed the bank for an hour in the middle of the day during business days. In order to open business accounts with any bank, we are required to provide numerous forms to the bank and this is the first bank we've ever worked with that seems to misplace documents provided and we find we're being asked to provide them again and again. I am busy operating my business, I do not have time to produce the requisite documents over and over again. To be fair to the branch, while I am disappointed as a business customer, I have been happy with the personal banking because, for the most part, the staff is friendly and helpful on personal banking. June and Nick were the best employees we've worked with.

We came away with a positive experience with Umpqua Bank from the beginning to the end. Our go to person is Nick and he represents the company well with his knowledge,friendliness and caring nature. The bank is new and clean and mod. We would highly recommend this bank.

(I'm posting this here because Umpqua Bank had Yelp take down my negative review of the outrageous behavior by their employees and managers less than 48-hours after I posted it).This is an alert concerning the Umpqua Bank employees. On Tuesday morning, September 28, 2021, a female bank employee forcefully removed the electrical charging cord from my vehicle; she insisted that this charger was only for Umpqua Bank employees and demanded that I leave because I was trespassing. She also summoned the police department to further intimidate me. The officer left without taking any action, stating he was not sure whether the bank employee was legally within her powers to prevent this electric vehicle charger from being used by members of the public. This charger is listed as a publicly accessible charging station on the Plugshare website and I was parked in one of the two designed electric vehicle only spaces. The other space marked "electric vehicle only" was occupied by a gasoline powered vehicle owned by an Umpqua Bank employee. At this point, it appears that the only bank "employee" that can use this (formerly) free public electric charging station is the highly paid female bank management person who drives a brand-new Tesla. I reached out to Umpqua Bank representatives this afternoon and I will update this review after they have had a chance to investigate these events.

One of the best banks I have ever been to. The staff working always know you by first name. The Bank manager Aj is just so amazing with everything including my PPP loan. I really recommend this bank and branch to anyone who likes to be in and out as fast as possible and have the be known by name.

June has been there since they opened as Umpqua. Knows me by name when I walk in the door! I haven't been able to stump her yet with any question that I may have. You will never get customer service like this at a larger bank.

Now who likes Banks? I mean come on, you think Banks you think extra charges interest and fees on everything and no recourse! Unless you are banking at Umpqua in Novato! I've been banking there since I met Don the Branch Manager a the time at a Novato Chamber of Commerce event when I was new in town. Been banking there ever since with multiple personal and Biz accounts. Don was so good at his job they moved him up to Santa Rosa! June is who to ask for now to set up your accounts, and everyone there will be saying hi and know your name within weeks of setting up there would be my guess! I think it's time they got a 5 star review!

The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They know you by name and remember conversations they have with you. I love that my account is free and I can use any ATM I want for free 4 times in a month!!!! Love love Umpqua and how special they make me feel!

I think Umpqua Bank is amazing. I love walking in and having people know my name. More importantly they take care of their customers. June and Tyler are fantastic. Recently I needed some help and Tyler went above and beyond the call of duty and helped me get what I needed. I appreciate Umpqua and recommend it to anywone who wants to feel welcomed by their bank. Coffee and Cookies are awesome too!

This Umpqua's employees make you feel like family. Whenever I have to stop by and AJ helps me, she always greets me by name, which feels somewhat strange, but it's good customer service. Maybe it's because other places don't really take the time to remember customers' names. They're always very helpful and quick so I can get in and out.

I have been a customer for many years! Someone broke into my car and had to change my account. Since then this bank has screwed me. Took away all the benefits I had before without even notifying me. Not Happy at all!when I used to tell people good things about this bank, I will never say good things again. Welcome to corporate America!

The customer service in this bank is exceptional. The staff calls customers by their first names as they walk into the door. You don't see this very often in any bank. All customers are treated as though they are family.

Was switched into an Umpqua account when they bought out my local bank (circle bank). Tellers are very friendly and helpful. Have yet to pay any type of fee, other than one for a wire transfer.
