Amazing service. Our vet knew everything about a cat's behavior. He examinded Buster in a cabinet! His assistant Daniel was equally accomplished. Buster's nails were trimmed without hassle. We totally trust The Country Vet!

This team is so amazing. We have 5 dogs and a cat of our own. And we currently have a foster puppy. All 3 doctors know that and they make every effort to be conservative with their treatment plans for our babies so as not to break the bank of our blue collar household. They care and they are incredibly knowledgeable. Angela, the office manager, is always kind, thoughtful, professional and goes out of her way to squeeze in urgent appointments for me, if she can. And the rest of the staff, Emily L, Mandy, the other wonderful techs and receptionists are very sweet and treat my babies as their own whenever we have a visit to the office. And we're in there about every other month because we always have anywhere from 6 to 10 animals in the house and each of them have their yearly appointment, not to mention unplanned urgent visits.
I just saw a post where someone complained about pricing as if the staff determines the amount... and all I can ascertain from his cranky review is that he is simply miserable and I feel horrible for his pets or any other human who has to deal with him.
Yes! Dental work is expensive.... spays are expensive.... ANIMALS CAN BE EXPENSIVE. But these prices are across the board in the Bay Area. AND, I once witnessed a vile client berating them in-person for something that was clearly out of their control. If you don't like a certain establishment, then just don't give them your business. There is NO reason to act like a horrible human being.
I'M GRATEFUL FOR THIS TEAM WHO HAVE HELPED TO KEEP MY BABIES HEALTHY AND HAPPY FOR OVER A DECADE !!!!! I APPRECIATE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM ! ❤️

I am forever indebted to Dr. Evan's and the Country Vet staff. Dr. Evan's saved my cats life and I am so grateful for him. I was a wreck when I found out that my cat needed surgery (he had 2 foreign objects stuck in his small intestine and a kidney infection) the staff were so kind. Daveigh made my visit so much better and was such a comfort to have. Marie at front desk was very kind as well. My cat is alive due to the amazing work done at Country Vet. They also called 3 times in 4 days after my cat's surgery! Talk about caring about your patients!! I felt so seen, heard, taken care of, and safe at the Country Vet. I trust them. You should too!

I always feel my dog(s) are in great hands here. (I’ve had two different dogs cared for here over the past 20 years) Dr Kat and the team are very thorough and knowledgeable. She does amazing detective work to figure out what my dog is experiencing so that we can do our part to help her live a healthy and joyful life.

By far the best vet we have ever gone to!!!! Dr. Pheils and the team of techs, assistants, and receptionists who work with her are so caring and compassionate. It feels like we're in here every week for a new issue with one of our pets, and every time they go above and beyond at squeezing us in, helping us out, and making our fur babies feel like themselves again. When our cat was potentially needing invasive facial surgery, Dr. Pheils and Dr. Kat worked together to better evaluate and create a plan, showing the thorough teamwork that runs throughout this hospital! I truly cannot say thank you enough to all the amazing staff here, we love y'all!

We are so happy Dr. Kat is back. I took my 2 dogs here since they were puppies and they were under the care of Dr. Kat from Day 1. When she left we were devastated, but couldn't be more happy/excited to have her back. The staff has always been great to us and provided us with great care and communication. We drive about a half hour to this hospital because of the staff and Dr. Kat. We love The Country Vet.

Dr.Doug Evans was my dog's vet since we moved to CA in 2013. It's obvious that he truly cares about animals and my dog responded in kind to him. He helped us through a few scary health issues, including a tiny, but aggressive cancer in his anal sac. Because Dr. Evans recognized it and acted aggressively, I was able to have five more years with my golden retriever. He and his staff are very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend him.

A few weeks ago I faced the agonizing decision to euthanize my aging cat, Doc, who was struggling with end of life issues. I realized the urgency on a weekend. As my regular vet was on vacation, a friend recommended The Country Vet on Atherton Road which is quite near my home. She told me how he had cared for and cured her dog through many difficult diagnoses. I called early on Monday morning hoping to get in as soon as possible. The receptionist said they were fully booked, but put me on hold to confer with one of the vets there about my situation. Dr. Doug Evans was compassionate enough to tell me to come as soon as possible and that they would make a comfortable space available for us and he would make a few appearances between patients. First he gently and thoroughly assessed Doc's condition, and confirmed my belief that he could not survive. He totally explained what he would be doing and left to give me time alone to say goodbye. He then returned to give Doc a sedative which immediately relaxed him and shortly returned to administer the final dose. Throughout this whole process, I felt so very lucky to have found such a caring and competent person for such a difficult event. The whole staff there were totally supportive from the moment we walked in the door. I will have another cat or two in time, and I will feel good about having The Country Vet nearby for their care.

One way conversation with Dr Kat. Not much willing to hear or understand customers point of view. Old fashioned "we know best" pt of view - end of discussion.
