Bought my Ebike here. They build it and had it ready for pickup. Also, had issues with the back tire that they were able to resolve. Would recommend friends and family to buy a bike here ?

I love Sports Basement but I wish they had better bike rental options. Seems like all of their rentals are falling apart and on their last leg.

Just bought a new mountain bike today, Sports Basement was amazing . All of the staff is knowledgeable, helpful and still very laid back and low pressure. I felt completely comfortable test riding bikes and trying on clothes. I ended up with a great bike at a fantastic price and some other important add-ons that I would have overlooked , clothes included. Thanks Eric and the mechanics in the bike department for being so proactive (they brought the bike in from another store so I could try it) and so enthusiastic too! All told, from test ride through check out - this was a great experience.

I have always been a fan of SB, back to the warehouse days by the ballpark. I went into the Novato store for the first time and had a great experience with Gerald in the Shoe Dept. He checked in on me, gave me my time and space and then circled back. He was patient, informative, and found the special compression sock I needed. I walked out very happy with my shoes and socks. Thanks, Gerald. Your help and disposition made it a good day.

Sports Basement might be one of the few chain stores around that really feels like a local spot. I brought both my bikes in for a tune up and diagnosis on some issues recently, and the crew at SB Novato has given me timely updates with multiple pricing options for any recommended work. Additionally, they’ve got solid pricing on everything in the store, and you’ll often find some pretty sweet deals on a few items (sometimes 50% off).
Will definitely be coming back any time I need a tune up, or some outdoor gear.

Best selection, prices and service of any sporting goods store. Unbeatable return policy. The best deals can be found in store. Support local businesses. My only complaint is their website (esp on mobile) is glitchy AF.
