Could not be more pleased with Novato Computer Service. My hard drive on my PC conked out and Bill upgraded to new hard drive. He also uncovered 58 infections via virus scan, 2 of which were malware. He removed all the infections, changed default browser to most secure browser, installed 3 new security programs and installed all current Windows updates. Bill also provided instructions for weekly malware and spyware prevention checks.A reliable computer repair source is not something that I already had in case of the circumstances I experienced. I was fortunate in that my first stop was Novato Computer Service. I cannot be more pleased with service, expertise and advice I experienced.

I spilled coffee into my desktop computer. Bill saved the mother board but the HD was toast. He replaced it and my backup worked to save the damage. Thanks Bill

After a recent hack, Bill cleared and restored my Apple computer hard drive including adding extra backup. He patiently guided me through (and typed out) the steps I needed to take in order to continue backup on my own. I’m grateful!

Bill worked on my computer that had randomly shut down, he identified the problem quickly and also made some great recommendations on how to improve performance. Bill is one of those old school computer professionals with a keen understanding of the latest technology. He rebuilt my entire laptop with a new SSD drive. It’s so smokin fast now I can’t believe it. Highly recommended. ???

My computer was DEAD ... and Bill brought it back to life, rescuing all of my programs and files in the process. He explained clearly and in advance what he planned to do and once he identified the problem, explained how he would work on it. He kept me fully advised of everything and completed the job in a reasonable amount of time at a reasonable price. So I called my internet provider (Comcast xFinity) and spent an hour on the phone with a tech support person. Unfortunately, she was not able to determine what the problem was or how to fix it. Finally, she said it must be something in the computer itself. So, I called Bill and told him about the problem. Excellent service at a very reasonable price. Bill not only repaired my crashed computer, he took the time to teach me different ways to access programs which get me around the web MUCH faster! He found old images and music and took the time to download all on a flash drive for us, just in case we hadn't saved everything--all this at no extra charge! I recommend this store and it's great service to everyone.

My elderly mother got completely locked out of her laptop via the Bit Locker application, and I was unable to obtain a recovery key and get this issue fixed on my own. Bill remediated the issue, reinstalled Windows 10, updated numerous device drivers, and added new security programs -- in addition to making some additional improvements that would make the laptop easier to use for my mom. Not only did he solve the problem, but he went out of his way to do it in record time -- by the end of the day that I brought it in, and at a fair price given the time he spent. I was very impressed and grateful. I will be a repeat customer for sure and would recommend Novato Computer Service to anyone!

My computer crashed big time doing a windows upgrade. Bill restored my computer and upgraded my hard drive. He also installed useful open source applications on my machine. Bill was very easy to talk to, explained things well, and I'm very happy with the results. I highly recommend him.

Did a great job repairing a glitch on Zoom on my laptop. Then cleaned the laptop up and it’s been working way better overall as well as fixing the Zoom problem.
