In my 74 years this is most unprofessional and uncaring medical facility I have ever been to. They took over Quest's location at 75 Rowland Ave in Novato - BE VERY CAREFUL - you do not want to go there! Marin Health is aware of the problems and is in the process of trying to get LabCorp to take over this location - until they do, STAY AWAY!!!!

Avoid this clinic. Shockingly unprofessional clinician. Fraudulent billing practices (at least that is what I can tell from lack of responsiveness to my questions about double billing. They took 6 months to “review” and then no communication or explanation). My insurance company confirmed that they see this from clinics sometimes. Can only be described as predatory billing practices. I would love to be proven otherwise so I can amend this review, but after 6 months of trying to get an answer…all I can do is warn others.

I have really liked coming here as my primary care. They've taken good care of me overall. Dr. Gurkamal Hans is wonderful.

I just had an upsetting confrontation with a nurse practitioner at my doctors office. Her name is Lorre Skidmore NP at 75 Rowland Way in Novato. I called the office to get an appointment because I have been sick with a Sinus Infection but I got worst with Dizzy spells that made the room spin. I have high blood pressure and wanted to come in to get my ears checked or adjust my blood pressure medicine. As I was waiting in the room the receptionist came in and told me we can't see today because you have systems of Covid. I told her To look at my chart because I took a Covid Test last week and it was Negative. She went and got the NP Loree and when she opened the door the first thing out of her mouth was "Don't say a word I don't want to hear it or what you got to say I just want you to leave. " All I said was "why ? I tested Negative for Covid and all I want is 5 minutes of your time to helo me. " She came back with " you are endangering everyone here and those tests are Not 100% accurate. ". Then All I said to her was " why are you being so rude and mean to me ? I am the patient needing help" she was yelling at me not talking like a professional. Then she told me again "I am not going to see you and you got to leave right now or I am calling the police " Can you believe that? I wasn't yelling, or calling her names. I wasn't threatening her either. The Police? Never in all my years have a doctor or NP talk to me that Way!!! Very Unprofessional. I will never seek her services ever again. Just to make it clear the receptionists were nice and my Dr. Gore was professional the next day I talked to her. This whole encounter was stressful and made me a nervous wreck for days. (This rating is only for Loree Skidmore and not the Marin Health Practice) Thank you for taking the time to read my review. Take Care.

Administratively the turnover from Dr. Murphy's office to this group is terrible. Requested callbacks are non-existent. Serious errors in pharmaceutical requests to providers have occurred without rapid resolution. This group, now affiliated with UCSF badly needs help.

My initial visit as a new patient to this facility was great. Three weeks later I was to have a follow up visit with the same PA and was expecting a quick visit to just change a medication dosage due to a low lab value. I gave myself way more time than usual to travel but when I got onto the interstate at Lucas Valley Rd, all four lanes of traffic were at a dead stop. I immediately called the office to inform them of the delay and they said they would relay the message to the front desk, they knew there had been an accident and had been affected also. It took 45 min. instead of the usual 15 of driving time. When I checked in at the front desk, I was told that I couldn't be seen because there was a ten minute late policy (of which I was never informed). I was 14 minutes late! I begged and pleaded to be seen. I actually started to cry because I was still stressed from the traffic delay. I agreed to just meet in the hallway if necessary to change my med dosage rather than take up a full appointment time. The answer was still no. I was willing to sit until they could fit me into the schedule somehow.....but no again. At age 76, I have never been treated so coldly before in any medical facility. As a retired nurse in a clinic setting, I always tried to accommodate my patients in any way I could. Maybe this is the "new wave" of today's medicine. I left frustrated and in tears. No one has called me back of course. Now.....on to finding a new practitioner. Hope I find one with a heart this time!!
