Russ is one of THE most reasonable, honest and genuinely helpful people I know. He has turned that business from a local and very good repair shop to a beacon for people with broken vehicles. You may have been “burned” in the past by auto shops who are more “salesmen” that techs, to a beacon of hope to anyone who has a car. No only do I recommend First Street Automotive, but I challenge you to try them just once and see that I speak the truth. Hidden gem folks , really!!

This shop was a life saver.My car was leaking transmission fluid and I was so stressed about getting it fixed since I work in Santa rosa and money is tight. These men made me feel like I was a priority and went above and beyond to help me. No one likes to spend money on their car and I was so worried about how much it was going to cost but it was afforable and I genuinely felt like they weren't taking advantage of my situation. It was a good price and they did a wonderful job. These guys are hard working and I will be taking my car back for future fixes. It's hard to find a shop where you feel like you can trust who is working on your car and I feel like I found it with this shop. If you need work done please check them out!

Now here's a hidden gem! Russ and David know their trade better'n most. I could tell from the beginning of conversation about my Dodge Caravan alarm/ immobilizer kerfuffle. I'd been looking for someone who was familiar with the woven modules that made this thing the headache that it had been for about a month. The first locksmith left scratching their head...as had I after hours of research, familiarizing, and several work around attempts. I was beginning to think I'd have to cut the whole system out and cross my fingers. David hammered it out with a particular scanner that most wouldn't know to hang on to. I got outta there for well under the estimate I was fearing with a very patient and detailed explanation and further tips and advice on the matter. There is nobody I've ever heard of that can make this troubleshooting nightmare look easy...I really cannot say enough about these two. High integrity auto ninjas to the rescue! Check 'em out... for the win.

I had an exhaust leak and a check engine light issue with my Nissan truck, Russ welded the exhaust leak and fixed the o2 sensor issue right away and kept me informed on the cost of the repair. Best auto shop ever.Liam

Russ is the best! He's has done work on both my Infiniti QX60 and Saturn Sky. He's always quick to assess any problems and keeps my cars running in tip-top shape. Having a good honest mechanic who is local and can get your car fixed in a short amount of time is huge.
